Would they?

Stars won 4 out of the 5 games against the Hawks, by multiple goals in each one. Yes, I know that teams are a different animal in the play offs, but still, Dallas had Chicago's number in the regular season. That could affect the Hawks.

The Blues seem like a tougher matchup for the Stars' smaller D (Klingberg, Goligoski, Oduya, Russell, Demers). The Hawks seem like a better matchup as it's pure speed (Stars D) vs speed (Hawks F). Also the Hawks' terrible PK is a good matchup for the Stars' awesome PP.

Well, whoever wins that series will a tough matchup. Go Stars!

I think the Minnesota local news Weatherman is actually Stanley from The Office.

I really don't think a team who's won 3 cups in 6 years gives a flying squat about their regular season record against a potential matchup, especially after coming back from a 3-1 deficit in round 1 (should it happen).

I don't think the Stars beat either the Blues or Hawks with that horrid goaltending.

A little surprised David Jones was so ineffective in the playoffs considering he stepped it up big time for us last year.

1 assist through 6 games.

The only gifv I've found is of the second angle, I was hoping for one of the overhead. Thanks for the video though.

I'd say it's 50/50 he's even in the NHL next year

More like 10/90, with the 10% being that he'll get another shot somewhere. He was worse than Glencross. Terrible.

Why? they were better than both those teams all year...honestly I don't get why people not only think they will lose but are predicting a blowout

Because playoff hockey is a different game. Teams that give up goals get slaughtered

Nice! Glad Dallas pulled this out even though they wanted to make it dramatic.

I'm thinking Dallas should be pleased as punch they get and extra day off. Lindy Ruff should bag skate the crap out of them tomorrow and then give them some rest.
Not sure if the Stars can make the WCF but if they do they're really going to need a healthy Seguin. He seems to be a big time missing piece to their scoring. And who do you start in net? I don't like Niemi in this but can Lehtonen get the job done? Tough coin flip for the coaching staff there. Niemi has the experience but doesn't look good right now.

Except scoring isn't their issue. They scored 23 goals in 6 games. That should be enough to win any series, but when your goaltending and defensive work is so shoddy it lets in 3-4, its hard to close games out and win comfortably.
