Yeah, sure looks intentional to me, it's not like he just skated into him and he gave no indication afterwards that it was an accident... I dunno how that doesn't even get looked at.

I didn't see the game, but Stalberg and Letang had roughing penalties against each other in the 1st period. Could that have been what led to the high sticking incident?

So Kadri gets a fine and a talk from the league for a gesture of a throat slash. Letang gets nothing for an actual throat slash. And some on here were saying Kadri wasn't punished enough...

I understand you're a Leafs fan, but what a bizarre play to compare Letang's slash with.

Why? One is disciplined for a pretend throat slash, the other gets nothing for an actual throat slash with a stick.

Two very different types of slashes, with two completely different contexts.
The only comparison I see between the two is that they both had something to do with a neck.
I'm not saying you're wrong to be annoyed for the inconsistencies in the disciplinary decisions though. I don't see how a gesture gets more punishment than what looked like an intentional stick in the neck.

I don't know how to embed a tweet, but I read today (@myregularface) that after review the league believes that Letangs hand hits the stanchion between the glass causing his stick to swing forward and hit Stalberg. Ruled unintentional and therefor no suspension.

So they give a first time offender the benefit of the doubt. Would have been nice if Wideman had got the same courtesy.

Rangers putting on a push late in the period but the Pens pretty much fed the Rangers their lunch in the 1st. Still 3-0 Pitt. Im not sure that the Rangers have the guns to come back from that.

I know this isn't really an issue for this particular thread/board but does anyone else have Sportsnet 360 only in SD?
I will watch the game NBC in HD which isn't an issue. I believe its Shaw #16.
I get all the Sportsnet channels in HD except for 360. On my Shaw package its #30 but I can't seem to find the HD version. Anybody know what channel or package I need to purchase? I know the odd Flames game will be on 360 in the fall due to Jays/ Oilers games taking the other Sportsnet channels.
Many thanks!

1-0 Rangers early
I'm not crazy about the "mellow yellow" bowl in Pittsburgh. I think fans should wear black, white or tuxedos to the games
