Hmm, the Wild are threatening to make a series of this, 4-2 up now. Very poor performance by the Stars. Only 12 SOG so far, with 12 minutes to go.

If looks could kill we'd have dead refs all over the ice. Dubnyuk real mad. Personally I think it was an okay call.

Wild with an EN goal - 5-3 with a min to go. Looks like they'll take this one and it won't be a sweep!

There will be no sweep of this series. Its headed back to Dallas at the very least. Good chance for Russell to recover and draw back in and get above 50%.

Wild have beat the Central champs in the first round two years in a row.... and here they are in year 3 against the Central-winning Stars. Stars can't relax.

Seems to me Stars could have used Russell in that one :P
The flu is worrisome insomuch that usually where one player get it - the whole team gets it.

Earlier I questioned if Russell really had the flu. Not so they can save the draft pick but because it's the playoffs and teams like to hide more serious injuries. A la Darryl Sutter and the charleyhorse.
Any speculation if it is an actual injury?

ugh. I mean, how do you utterly fail to show up for game 1, effort real hard but still lose in game 2, get down 2-0 in the first five minutes last night....and then pull THAT off?
This Wild team.....infuriating. The only thing last night showed me was that they are dogs for not playing like that earlier in the series. Their problems are still there. Last night just obfuscated that. Dallas didn't play that well, Sharp notwithstanding. I'm just....so frustrated. Wild fans were sold a narrative that they were in a position to take the next step (not Cup challengers, per se) this season. I think there are significant flaws with this roster, and leadership is certainly part of it. I'm just tired of putting out more effort being dedicated to the team than their effort back to us - in terms of the inconsistency of their play.

I still think the Wild have a shot at this series.
Last night really exposed the Stars D and goal tending IMO.

The wild just don't have the game breaker(s) that other teams do. Parise is decent, but he's not at the level of Seguin or Benn. Suter's a good player, but he's not a huge point producer. They need a couple guys with the ability to create something on their own.
