Pearson was offside. He didn't reach the blueline before the puck crossed the line into the zone.

Pearson hasn't even tagged the line to clear the zone before the puck crosses the line.
Need one more frame to show the puck cross completely before his skate touches.

Nah, Pearson's left skate touched the blueline to tag up.
Also, here's a Sharks fan cheering the LA win in OT:

As long as he clears the zone before touching the puck (which he did), he's good.

It doesn't matter if the puck enters and he's still offsides, he tags up again before touching the puck, making himself onside.

Huh? That was no where close to offside. Pearson easily tagged up.
Edit: If I was a coach I would challenge every OT goal for offside. It's not like losing your timeout matters at that point.

The play at the blueline was near identical to Stajan on the David Jones tying goal in Game 1 vs Vancouver last year, as seen here:

Perfectly onside.

Makes me sad too. Hard to believe there was a time when Hiller would only let in one goal.

The last two minutes of that game were absolutely beautiful. Draft lottery stinks, I miss the playoffs...

There's automatic review of every OT goal from Toronto

I heard that yesterday as well but I don't think that's true. Automatic goal review on an offside play even if one of the teams already used their timeout? That doesn't seem fair.

Anything in the final minute of play of the third period or overtime is initiated by the league.

Another great game. The pace was incredible all game but the last 10 min of regulation and then OT were crazy. I liked that it was hard hitting but no BS unlike some of the other series. get hit, get up and keep going. Also, big hits but nothing dirty. Loving this series.
I guess I am in the minority but I would like to see LA move on. I like that team and I like Sutter. I have no attachment to San Jose and I am not bitter that LA has won in the past. Good hockey team, well put together and well coached.

I'm also rooting for LA, but mostly because I took Quick, Carter, and Lucic in my draft

Thanks for the review explanation.
I would like to change my comment to: if I was a coach I would never use my timeout until the last minute of a game. One of these days someone is going to be screwed over by a goal at the 18:59 mark.
