I think rube meant more he's not interested in playing football because he loves it. If you did you'd do everything you could to get reinstated. If it's just a job then it's whatever.

Johnny Manziel was a passenger in a car that allegedly hit a light pole and fled the scene in Hollywood this weekend ... and the person who picked him up after the crash was Josh Gordon.
TMZ Sports has learned ... Manziel was interviewed by LAPD about a crash that occurred on the Sunset Strip around 10:45 PM on Saturday night.
We're told ... cops believe the driver of the car was Manziel's good friend Ryan Silverstein -- aka OVO Ryan from Drake's OVO crew.
Law enforcement sources tell us ... cops believe Silverstein and Manziel left the scene on foot after the crash -- and were picked up by Cleveland Browns WR Gordon.

This is even better that Josh Gordon is involved.

Drew Rosenhaus fired him as a client. How ####ed up do you have to be for Drew Rosenhaus to fire you?

Not quite RGIII trade levels of bad, but massive overpayment for the Rams. Wentz is a decent prospect but is a development QB and not a plug and play guy. Teams I guess have decided that no matter what it costs, be it money or picks, they gotta find an average NFL QB to compete.

The Rams have acquired the first overall pick in the 2016 draft for a king's ransom.
http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/15...s-angeles-rams
Simply an amazing trade for the Titans as I can't believe the Rams would give up this much for a 1st overall pick in a draft like this where there isn't an Andrew Luck. I'm sorry but Wentz or Goff are not 1st overall pick caliber QB's and in some drafts wouldn't even be first round picks. I get that the Rams want to make a splash in LA but this is not the way to do it.

This is more about posturing though isn't it, and generating hype with the new market.

Hype at the cost of setting your franchise back? 1st round picks in the NFL are a big deal and even the two 2nd's and 3rd round picks will likely land players that will play in the NFL. Paxton Lynch could end up better than either Wentz or Goff and the Rams could have stayed put to draft him.
As a Raiders fan this trade is great though because if the Chargers stay in San Diego the Raiders will be able to walk into LA and steal the spotlight from the Rams who will likely be continuing to wallow in mediocrity.

I just hope the Rams are dreadful next year and the Titans get a top 3 pick next year, just like the RGIII debacle.

That could happen - could be a crazy trade for the Rams when all is said and done.

If the Rams take Wentz, that would leave Goff for the Browns at No. 2, and they may have favored him anyway. As of the NFL Combine, Goff had at least a slight edge, a league source told cleveland.com.
Browns Executive Vice President Sashi Brown also told Sirius XMNFL radio on Wednesday that interest in the No. 2 pick is heating up and that they'll listen to offers over the next two weeks.

I'm pretty sure they are targeting Goff, California poster child for the new LA market. Makes WAY too much sense.
And I'm not entirely sure they overpaid THAT much, they just moved up FOURTEEN SPOTS in the draft, you need to put together a pretty substantial package to do that.
The Redskins moved up from 6 to 2 for three first round picks and a second.
In 2004, the Giants essentially moved from 4 to 1 for two first round picks, a third and a fifth.
So in comparison, the deal looks pretty standard to me. They paid less to achieve more than the Redskins did.

Man, this could land the Cowboys with Tunsil. Their 5th 1st round offensive lineman.
Big changes here for everyone involved. Was expecting only one QB in the top 10 picks. There may be some panic as well from teams to jump up to the mid-round for Lynch. The Cards would be my guess

49ers the big losers today. Pretty sure they expected Goff would be there at 7. Now Wentz and Goff could go 1-2 and Chip misses out on a QB yet again.

Right, but the major difference is none of these QBs projects as being great. elite QBs. They are all average QB prospects at best, and the Rams are paying the price for a QB they hope becomes top 10. I strongly suspect that first round pick next year will be top 10 (Keenum or a rookie led team, coached by Jeff "Mediocre" Fisher, is going to struggle), so the Titans will probably still end up netting a top 10 pick here. Trading up for RGIII, who some thought was better than the once-in-a-generation Luck, was more understandable (and shows how insane people were to think he could be better than Luck). Trading up for Eli too makes sense, he had a very high ceiling.
The QBs in this draft all are development QBs who will need time before playing. If they were in last years draft they'd go in the bottom of the first round at best. Timing matters. Remember coming into this year Christian Hackenberg was viewed as the likely first QB selected. Now he's probably falling into the mid rounds. This is a very weak QB class, and the Rams are simply desperate for an average QB like so many others.

Well to be fair, any QB they would have drafted would have been better than Case Keenum....right?!
I get it from LA's viewpoint, they desperately need a QB and need to generate hype around their new home, no better way than drafting a local boy. Something the 49ers failed to do with Rodgers, way back when. Oh and the Titans made out like bandits in this deal, I'm impressed.
