Default I am Iron Man!

well not me...Robert Downey Jr.
Strange casting actually, im not a Downey fan at all. I did read quite a few Iron Man comics many years ago, liked the character.

Iron Man in the make

I think it's great casting. A star who battles alcoholism playing a superhero who battles alcoholism.

He's a little short for Iron Man....

Stark is 6 foot 1 (without the suit). Downey is lucky if he's 5 foot 9 in heels.

Tom Cruise was originally pegged for this role.

Iron Man has a specific height? I always figured comic books were up for interpretation.

He doesn't exactly project the billionaire genious playoboy persona either, but I guess he's an actor and we'll see.

well, Wolverine is supposed to be around 5 feet tall, Hugh Jackman is about 6'2" and I think he pulled off that role ok.

Downey if nothing else certainly has proven he has acting talent. Really he seems perfect for the role.

He just needs to grow a mustache and he'd be a alright Tony Stark.

BTW, man Tony is the biggest ###### of all time currently in Marvel's Civil War.

I think its good that marvel is making the movie themselves. There is serious potential for cheese factor if this character is not pulled off right

True, and I think Marvel has it backwards too.

Iron Man should be the one against registration, and Captain America should be the one to follow the law.

BTW, Iron Man is done well in the Avengers animated DVDs.

I think that at the end of it all, we'll find out that they were all possessed by some evil being or mind controlled or something since everybody is acting so out of character - otherwise it's just all bad writing.

I thought the civil war was going to be a "balanced" approach but it's obvious now that they mean that registration = bad U.S. government conspiracy and superheroes turning evil.

Now Tony and Reed are using a psychopathic frankenstein cloned Thor that goes around murdering people.

WIth Jon Favreau directing I was sure it would have been Vince Vaughn.

I like this casting, Downey was great in Chaplin.

Well they'll just have to cast really short villans then. I think Gibson and Cruise might be looking for work lately.
