I hope it's good...but I predict it's going to be Top Gear US with a bigger budget.

Much as I said a few pages back.

So now what they've got is a talk-show host, a race car driver and a comedian...
So now this:
Looks a lot like....

Netflix announced Top Gear will be streaming the same day BBC airs it in the UK.
This is win win, we continue to get BBC production quality with a reboot of the original, plus a completely new show with the hosts we already know.
Can't wait.

Apparently Matt Leblanc and Chris Evans have already had a falling out.

I can't stand Chris Evans beak face.
Apparently, hooning around the war cenotaph got him all hot and bothered.

Wow, no way, Chris Evans is a total control freak. He probably wanted it to be a stiff-upper-lip car show.

In a tongue-in-cheek statement, Clarkson said: "We'll be travelling the world hosting each episode in a different country. It's sort of a 'grand tour', if you like. So we've decided to call it 'The Grand Tour'."
In response, May remarked that he was underwhelmed by the name and had "wanted to call it 'Nigel', or 'Roger'".
"We needed a name, and they're names," he said.
Hammond on the other hand, was more positive, saying: "I already love camping, but this is something else".
"We are like our pioneering and prospecting forebears, sallying forth into a new frontier of broadcasting."

Personally, I like it, but at the end of the day I dont care what the show is called, lets get it on the road!

The "round-the-world" format will allow customers of different nations to be in the audience as tickets are to be released through prize draws this summer.
The name befits the presenters' wish to make a new show noticeably different from what they had presented before, which was mainly studio-based with pre-recorded segments and big set pieces.
How on earth is this going to work from a broadcast perspective? I've been to a Top Gear Live event and don't think filming it live for TV is going to translate well on TV.
A pile of pre-recorded segments?

I'm thinking a mix of those Top Gear Live things and the old show. Like instead of that studio they'll have different settings, but still lots of pre-recoreded segments.
Kind of like a car-show version of Hometown Hockey

Chris Evans is unbearable. LeBlanc is likeable but isn't a great presenter. Chris Harris is relegated to Extra Gear? So far I'm not impressed.

I thought it was alright, not the dynamic of the trio but still entertaining. Drag, drag, drag was funny. I still don't like Chris Evans.

Evans was pretty bad. I liked LeBlanc though
