I like Velvet Revolver, but I don't ever have the urge to throw on their album. Decent band but the songs are not strong enough.

i want to go to this show. I had 7th row tix to the riot show at GM PLace. That was quite the experience. But I dont know if I should, lets face it, there's a chace that he doesn't show up or he cancels or what have you. So, I dont know if its worth the 200 dollar flight, 75 on a hotel, 75 on a ticket and expenses. God, I wish I won the 649.

velvet revolver is merely O.K. IMO. It was a decent album but honestly after a month i stopped playing it. I haven't listened ot it for well over a year. G'N'R gets played regularly as does Stone Temple Pilots. The chemistry isn't the same. The songs have something missing. Slash, Axl and really Izzy was one of the greatest music writing partnerships in rock...even though it didn't last long. I don't mind Weiland and I don't mind Velvet Revolver but Slash/Duff in Gun 'N Roses with Axl and Weiland in Stone Temple Pilots just shines too bright for Velvet Revolver and Axl's new G'NR to compare.

That said I'm sure if Axl shows up no one will be dissappointed. He is premiere showman. But it won't be like the UYI tour.

LOL had to laugh when CJay sent out the presale info and it was "Gun and Roses" pre-sale. Man is Cjay lame, and so is this band claiming to be GnR.
