5. Target a player like Kris Kreider. Young and slightly cheaper than Lucic, Eriksson (I think he re-signs with BOS), Okposo etc.
6. Scour the earth for Skilled RW.

Climb into top 3 in the draft lottery

Don't take on any expensive UFA contracts
I dislike the bad contracts on this team but now is not the time to dump them. Many of them expire this year so its time to ride it out and trade who you can at the deadline. Wideman, for example, is a guy that has negative trade value IMO right now, but at the deadline could get you something if he can play remotely well this year.
trade colborne (i like him as a player but we should sell high and not tie up too much money in our bottom 6) for a boom or bust player like yakupov

Long time lurker, first time posting, I see a lot of wanting two or three good players, what people are thinking, is that there is a expansion draft, we will likely lose some players to the expansion draft.

I think if expansion is a thing, they will only be taking one player from each team
1) coaching staff
2) goalies
3) a new arena proposal that isn't WV.
4) A buyout
5) Maybe Ladd or Eriksson
6) How long does Scotia get to sponsor the Saddledome? We should go back to the Pengrowth Saddledome imo. That was dope.
At least it would be Rogers Saddledome. Worst part of those other place's names isn't the Rogers part, it's the actual name of the building that sucks. Arena? Place? Rogers Centre (Blue Jays) Ugh. At least give the place a name and identity to go along with the sponsership
