Just wondering, does the forum reduce the resolution of photos? I always find the stuff I have on Flickr looks much sharper/higher res compared to when it displays on CP. Would be cool if we could get the highest resolution displayed. Perhaps CP is not setup to support Retina display (144ppi)?
Ie, to me this photo looks a lot muddier here than it does on Flickr.

Which URL are you grabbing from flickr for the actual image URL?
It seems the one you've posted here is 1024px (width) while viewing on flickr.com seems to automatically serve up the higher res versions, closer to 1600px, even if the size in browser is smaller in the HTML, it's serving up more pixels.

Hmm, good point, that does seem to make a difference. I just swapped out to 1600px now and it looks better for sure. Not sure why the 1024px one would look some much more downgraded when its being viewed at 100% size, but perhaps that's my Retina display at work (ie 72dpi on retina tends to look pretty choppy).

I believe Calgary Puck has a "min-width: 100%" for all images, so it's taking that 1024px and displaying it at a larger size if your window is larger than that.
While flickr does the opposite and serves large images into smaller boxes, resulting in sharper display.
Christ it's a beautiful day outside, why the heck am I dissecting front end development display issues instead of going out side and shooting photos.
