Love the humility of Oreo. I love that he was so honest in his self assessment. Roger kept pushing him for more about staying with the Flames, and Joni just kept replying he would LOVE to be here long term, but just hasn't earned the right to a long term contract.

I wouldn't mind seeing Ortio signed as a backup for a couple of years.

Get him security of a 2 year contract.

Nakladal for a year at 1 million as a 6/7? Sign me up

The reality is that Nakladal on a two-way deal was better than 5 million dollar Wideman and 3.5 million dollar Smid, and better than every other d-man callup.

It would be criminal if they let Nakladal walk.

Just watched the Hiller interview, even he knew he was getting cut loose.

I like the way this organization is doing business. While it is tough for the player, at least it is honest, and the player can start looking for other opportunities.

I hope that this honesty of dealings makes Calgary an attractive team moving forward.
