Pens win 6-5 shootout against the Jets. Theodore struggles, Koivu and Kovalev have huge games and Bertuzzi makes his debut with 2 points and 0 PIM.

Well alot closer than I thought it would be with Michael Leighton getting the start in goal. Sadly this team just sucks in its own zone and the hunt for a dman continues, oh wait, we have Fergie now

Sabres blow it open in the third period outshooting LA badly and scoring 2 goals to win 4-2. Good production from the top 2 lines, Letowski seeming to settle in well on line one

Senators win that Battle of Ontario in a 5-4 Shoot out.
Lehtonen goes head to head with Turco and comes out the victor

The team was led by young gun Eric Staal and vertran Cory Stillman.
Despite falling behind 2 goals Twice the Senators bounced back to tie and win the Game. Buckling down defensivly in the 3rd when it counted.

Staal was the games 2nd star after posting 1 Goal and 2 Assists.
Stillman was the games 3rd star with 3 assists.

The game did show we still have some work to do on the 3rd line as they were -2 on the night.

Still we are happy. The leafs are a strong team and are looked at as a playoff team this year.

Thats Turdo, Mr Red. Not at all surprising he allowed 5 goals to a close rival. I bet one of them was on the Leafs first shot too.

Flames 2 Ducks 2

The Flames have problems solving the Ducks net minder
37 shots and only 2 goals. We are making Aubin look like the second coming of Patrick Roy.

Thank gawed its only pre season. Flames still ahve some tinkering to do.

The Ducks once again play give it's all in playing all out and not making it easy for any team to play. This time around the Ducks played a game to a 2-2 draw with the Flames.

Another positive note is the Ducks shutdown the Flames PP as the Flames went 0 for 7 in a chippy affair of a game.

The Ducks preseason record so far stands at 2 wins 1 loss and a tie with 9 goals for and 7 against.

The Ducks will be closing out their preseason against the Bruins
