See if the weather forecast were more wind then the weekend could still be interesting even if Spieth has a decent lead because conditions are conducive to quick meltdowns (like Day and Fowler and Watson). But with a calm forecast for the weekend, Jordan really can put this away today with another solid round if no one can make a charge.

Rory with a couple early birdies to get to -4, hope he has a big day.

Rory is really an average putter at best. 3 putt from 20 feet is pretty dreadful. Looking like the only way Spieth won't win is if he melts down on the greens.
Edit: Another bogey for Rory. Jason Day needs to get going to salvage this tournament.

Of course Jordan comes right out and birdies the first. Well at least the tournament was compelling for like 3 hours.

Looks like only about half a dozen players so far today are actually improving on their score from yesterday.

This is getting boring real fast. Sergio got to -4 then of course doubled the next hole. Casey is now at -4 I guess that's something. I have to run some errands, might as well do them now and hope when I get back that somebody, anyone, makes this a bit closer.

I'm glad that Sergio is dropping. I hate him so much. The two golfers I hate the most are Sergio and Charles Howell III.

Only 10 players currently under par in their round today, and many of those have played 5 holes or less today. Course is very difficult right now so hopefully Jordan starts making a few mistakes to keep this thing mildly interesting.

Goddamn it Jordan (now -8). We need the heckler from Happy Gilmore to salvage this tournament. Pretty brutal for CBS for it to be over 24 hours before they even begin coverage for the second straight year.

This tournament needs a close finish. If Jordan runs away with this, it's gonna suck. And I like Spieth.

I like rooting for guys to make great shots in a close tournament and not hoping for a total meltdown for intrigue's sake.

This has to be one of the toughest scoring days ever. Only one finished round under par, and only Patrick Reed (-3) is better than -1 on the day right now. Pure survival mode right now out there.

Crazy round for McIlroy today. He get to -4 early in the round and then dropped to even but has managed to rebound back to -3 with two holes remaining.

Like seeing Dechambeau doing well, he's at -2 now. Saw that piece on him earlier today about his swing and clubs, pretty interesting stuff.

Back to back bogeys for Speith. Hooray for intrigue!
Edit: Added intrigue...Spieth's group is now on the clock for slow play.

He has such an interesting short, vertical swing plane. I love seeing players with unconventional techniques succeed.
