Default PK Subban to the Oilers?

Bruce Arthur

‎@bruce_arthur
I'm late to this PK Subban trade speculation, but I'm already thinking about which Oilers trade package might do it

You'd have to think the Habs would get a pretty nice package from the Oil for Subban.

Any Habs ask starts at McDavid.

Can the Habs afford to move him?

What else do they have on the back end?

I thought April Fools was over...

Well other than the fools that follow the Oilers.

but if they make this trade, Subban wouldn't be eligible for the playoffs right? And I mean ever, because the oil won't make the playoffs. Ever.

This doesn't even vaguely resemble a rumour. Try 'highly speculative speculation'.

Maybe we can even give them Smid and Stajan if they want to throw in Gallagher

Folks, I understand how ludicrous this sounds, but TSN has a link on their main page from their radio station in Montreal discussing this trade possibility.

I think Montreal trading Subban would be a major mistake.

Make it happen! P.K. is excellent at times but his mistakes can be glorious to watch. One more reason to laugh at the Oilers.

Wouldn't even take McCollarbone either.

wow, the suggestions on HFoil for Subban are great. Some have suggested things like 2016 1st rounder, Eberle, Nurse for Subban and Eller. That would be a tough one to swallow for both sides.

The oilers would be silly to move that 1st rounder this year, but they likely have to in order to get a #1 Dman. Don't they have enough to get something done with those other assets in that club?

This could get interesting if there is anything too it.

hard to imagine a scenario in which Montreal moves him and doesn't come out as the big winner. If it isn't something like Draisaitl + Nurse + a couple of high 1sts, why would they even bother?

If they don't dump one of their 6 million dollar boyhz then their salary cap looks like a complete nightmare. Hard to imagine MTL doing without Klefbom or Nurse in the deal and then how much further are they ahead.

It's really going to depend where the Oiler pick ends up. If it's a top 3 pick its pretty damn attractive.

I think the Habs would be crazy to trade Subban at all. For anything from the Oilers not named McDavid? Ludicrous speed!

Don't the Habs need PK? What's the rush to get rid of him?

Oh I think Ol' Chia Pet would owe Marc a reacharound if he made that work.
