Sweet merciful f#ck.

The man who posed as his daughter’s online boyfriend to get nude photos of her
What she didn’t know, authorities say now, was a secret so bizarre and perverse that it nearly defies imagination: The teenage boy making threats over text was, in fact, the girl’s father — a 41-year-old man living under the same roof as the teenager he was manipulating.
As the online relationship crumbled, the father would attempt to make it look like his daughter’s boyfriend had committed suicide.

Car crash between a marked police cruiser in Victoria, BC. and a truck. The truck driver is alleged to have been doing 120 in a 50 zone, at 3:30am, without his lights on. Broadsided her on the driver's side, with the resultant fatality.
*Edited post for new info coming out days later which indicate that the truck driver may not have been intoxicated.*
F drunk drivers. - I still feel this sentiment is accurate, so while it may not apply to this situation, it's still something that I feel is particularly bad that happens, so I'll leave it.

Two US soldiers have been arrested for murdering the female suspect’s two-year-old daughter, after creating a ghostly photoshoot and a crowdfunding campaign for the funeral.
Jeanie Ditty, an active-duty soldier who is stationed at North Carolina’s Fort Bragg, is in jail along with her boyfriend Zachary Keefer, both charged with first degree murder and negligent child abuse.
Keefer served as an Airborne Army Special Forces Senior Medical Sergeant with top secret security clearance for 13 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Yeah this thread was closer to the gear grinding thread at first, the last couple pages could change the title to "I didn't want to read that on this planet anymore".

Notorious distracted driver from Richmond banned from getting behind the wheel
http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/no...242/story.html
Richmond RCMP first encountered the driver in early March, when she was pulled over for nearly colliding with a police cruiser. The officer who checked the driver’s record was shocked to find she had 12 convictions for — yes, you guessed it — distracted driving.
The same driver was pulled over the following week by Vancouver police — again for distracted driving.

Just wondering where you got this information. The news reports now are saying the driver of the truck has been released with out charge.

It was taken (along with the pic) from CTV's news article on their site in the late morning the day of the crash. I even checked a couple other sources at the time (Global and CBC) to confirm. Looks like info may be changing.
While I still dislike drunk drivers, I also don't want to malign someone without verified info.

A B.C. mother says a Greyhound bus driver forced her two young daughters off an Alberta-bound bus in the middle of the night last weekend, abandoning the girls at a remote truck stop not far from the Highway of Tears.
The sisters, aged 12 and 16, waited alone for almost five hours while a family friend drove through the night to rescue them.

There has to be something Greyhound could be charged with on this. Leaving a 12 and 16 year old alone in the middle of the night???
Greyhound - we're not happy until we abandon your children

the overnight bus, which left Prince George at 12:05 a.m. on April 3.
Several hours later, the girls were scheduled to change buses in the dark at a Greyhound stop at a remote gas station and fast food outlet in Valemount, B.C., at 3:35 a.m.
Aubichon said the girls boarded the second bus for the next leg of the trip to Red Deer via Edmonton.
