Icon46 Flames vs Canucks 7:00 SNW

not a lot on this game floating out there today.

Quote:
Canucks team scope: Vancouver had a season-high three-game winning streak end with a 6-2 loss at the Edmonton Oilers on Wednesday. Goaltender Ryan Miller could start against the Flames on Thursday after Jacob Markstrom made 32 saves against the Oilers. The Canucks finish the regular season at home against the Oilers on Saturday. "It's our last two games of the season," Vancouver forward Bo Horvat told the Canucks website. "If you can't get up for that and you can't finish off strong when you only have two games left and give it your all, you shouldn't be here. We have to find a way to get those wins." Forwards Sven Baertschi (lower body), Chris Higgins (lower body), Linden Vey (upper body), Radim Vrbata (lower body, Brandon Sutter (broken jaw), and defencemen Luca Sbisa (upper body) and Alexander Edler (fractured tibia) are injured.

Flames team scope: Goaltender Joni Ortio will start his fourth consec
utive game; he made 21 saves in a 5-4 overtime loss against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday. After qualifying last season, Calgary will miss the Stanley Cup Playoffs despite several key players having career years. "It doesn't matter when you don't have team success," Gaudreau said. "Every guy in this locker room that is having a career year would much rather replace it to be in the playoffs and be playing for the Stanley Cup." Forward Lance Bouma left the game against the Kings in the third period because of an oblique injury and will not play again this season. Forward Michael Frolik (lower body) did not skate Wednesday and has missed the past four games. Goaltender Karri Ramo (torn ACL) and defencemen Dennis Wideman (triceps) and Ladislav Smid (upper body) are injured.

Hoping for a loss, and not ashamed to say it.

Flames win 6-2. We draft where we draft. It will work out.

If the Canucks play like they did last night I think it's close to impossible for the Flames to lose this one. I'll say 5-1 Flames.

a slightly better lottery position vs losing in regulation vs these boneheads, after they got positively spanked by the No Goods last game?

Johnny needs 2 pts to have a PPG season or better.
Mony needs 3 goals to have another 30 goal season.

Hopefully we step on their throats and step on it hard.

Baertschi (lower body) will miss a third consecutive game Wednesday against the Oilers, and remains without a definitive timetable for his return to game action. The Canucks only have two games left on the schedule after Wednesday's contest, meaning Baertschi could very well be done for the season. Those keeping tabs on the 23-year-old winger's availability can expect an update on his status if and when he's able to return for one of Vancouver's final two games.

How about that. I watch a fair amount of Canucks hockey and never even noticed he was not playing.

Probably because he's hard to notice when he is playing.

Thanked the puppet master for including the Kesler tumbleweed. No Canuck's related images are complete without one!

All I hope is that Monahan is noticed a tiny bit. I know, I know... I am hoping for too much with the great Horvat sharing the ice with him.

Well, one thing is guaranteed - Ferland will smashing tonight.

The picture should be 2 tanks going full speed at each other. I want the results of a loss because it gets us in better draft position but I hate the canucks so much. The canucks winning would give us better draft odds and them lower draft odds....but I hate the canucks soooooo much.

The canucks have been garbage though and the team just looks like they don't care about the game or each other. Johnny will get at least his 3 assists tonight. 6-2 Flames!

Are people still uneasy about the whole Monahan vs. Horvat thing? Is that still even a debate? Lol.. Backlund vs. Horvat is a little more comparable at this point tbf.

Go Flames! Want the Flames to get a better pick. Will be cheering for a win. Will be upset with a loss. Will be happy when I look at the standings to see the Flames have a better chance at a top 3 pick. Still disappointed they're so low.

What a freakin' roller coaster of emotions it is to finish so close to the bottom.

C'mon Johnny, setup Monahan for 3 and Shinkaruk for 2.

A 2nd round pick that turned into Rasmus Andersson.
