Janko unchained. Just ran the #### out of Hackett after jumping on a loose puck. No penalty.

Kylington with a tough give away but the Gulls player puts it off the post in alone. Still 1-1.

Klimchuk with a great pass through a Dman to Jankowski in close. Jankowski with a great tip and follow up chance but some great saves.

Schneider looks fantastic by the way. Very calm and positionally sound. Wotherspoon and Kylington have impressed me in spite of a couple mistakes each. Wotherspoon looks very experienced.

again, very small sample size, but Nick Schneiders first pro games should be a heads-up to those who already dismiss Mason McDonald because of his QMJHL numbers. Junior goalie stats often mean jack ####.

Shea Theodore has been extraordinarily impressive for the Gulls. Not looking forward to the Flames playing him in years to come at the terrible Honda Centre.

EDIT: The game is going to OT. 1-1 still.

Heat win 2-1

:12 into OT Hamilton with a nice pass over to Agostino for a one-timer. There was a ton of hype for the OT as well because of playoff implications. The Gulls now need 1 point to capture a playoff birth. The Gulls commentary guys sound super deflated, it's great.

Nick Schneider must be thinking "man, this pro hockey stuff is easier than Junior" while he cruises to a 0.940 save percentage.

With the win, the Heat are now tied with Bakersfield (the Condors own the tiebreaker) and only 4 points behind San Jose.

Stockton and Bakersfield both have 6 games left, San Jose only has 5. San Jose only has one home game remaining, Bakersfield has 2, and Stockton has 4.

They're not dead yet. They have three big games at home against Ontario and San Diego this week. If they can win all three, they'll be well-positioned to make a run for it in the final week.

Mangiapane and Andersson are both going to Game 7 in their first-round playoff series in the OHL on Tuesday. If they lose, they could be a big addition for the Heat down the stretch.

Kanzig and Karnaukhov should both be joining the Heat from the Hitmen this week.

I'd really like to see the Flames send Grant and Shinkaruk back after the Canucks game on the 7th. If they sent them back at that time they could play 5 important games from the 9th to 17th and if they win 4 of 5 there's no reason they couldn't make the playoffs.

I just feel like it would be so good for those kids to play some playoff hockey.

I don't know if they'd be into it but maybe Ortio and Nakladal would be able to go back after the season finale in Minnesota as well?

Doesn't appear Nakladal can go back Stockton. The Flames didn't add him to the AHL roster on trade deadline day per AHL transactions. Would be ineligible to be sent down per the CBA.

They did do a paper transaction for Ortio, so he could be sent back down.

Now that the Hitmen season is done, Kanzig will be joining the Heat for the rest of the season, but Karnaukhov will not. It sounds like he has been fighting injuries all season, so they want him to just take the time to get better.

Kanzig has been added to the Heat roster per the AHL transactions page.

there has been some nastiness in the San Diego games this year, he could be a good guy to have.

The Oil Kings were eliminated from the WHL playoffs on Tuesday, so Pollock should be available to join the Heat this weekend.

The Colts won their first round series in the OHL, so Andersson and Mangiapane won't be available to play in Stockton this season.

I am pretty interested in seeing Pollock and what he brings, as a new acquisition i know so little about him.

If you're playing guess-the-callup, #Flames farmhand Drew Shore is a scratch tonight for AHL Stockton.

Looks like he's replacing Bouma?
