Ah, must have been changed at a renewal, eh? I remember the first contract was restrictive, did it ease up a bit?

It is a little muffiny at times, a lot of goals go in not so elegantly or fast. Like spinning curveballs, probably makes it frikin hard to catch.

It must have. First time I saw an AHL game sheet with the restrictions on it must have been 2011. I know there was one issue on a particular AHL team where an enforcer type who played most of the season in the NHL was sent down and stole an exemption from a prospect who was upset by it.

If anyone thought Gaudreau had a small stick....

Shinkaruk’s stick is inches shorter than Johnny Gaudreau’s.

“Yeah, I don’t know,” said the five-foot-10, 181-pounder with a chuckle prior to Tuesday’s clash against the Los Angeles Kings. “I’ve always just had a small stick, every since I was young. When I was called up, I saw that it was shorter than Johnny’s.

So much innuendo in that quote. Surely someone cleverer than I can put the pieces together for a coherent joke.

It's called a knucklepuck. It was invented by Russ Tyler back in 94.

In case anyone is keeping score, Johnny has been using a Warrior stick (and gloves) at the World Cup. Doesn't seem to be affecting his play in the slightest.

Still got the Bauer lid though...

I believe this picture was taken right after his trade to L.A., He doubled up on the soap, to wash that thick layer of grease off.

What exactly does an uncut 55 flex mean in simple terms? Like what's weird about, and what is the flex like? It closer to a rubber band or a 2x4?

I believe most senior sticks don't even come in 55 flex because it's so dang flimsy. Most stock senior sticks are between 85 and 110. I am a 240lb 6'4" man, and when I lean on a 110 stick it flexes. If I leaned on on 55 flex stick, I would imagine it would bend in friggen half.

I think Brett Hull made headlines for using a 75 flex stick when he was rifling home one timers from the top of the circle.

He's basically using the same flex as a PeeWee......maybe even novice.
