Oh, and when I say I diet, all I really did was stop eating anything after supper, and I started drinking my coffee black, instead of with 3 sugars. And I tried to get more protein in my diet. Nothing other than that.

I posed the question because my current work out regime goes like this:

- back
- Legs
- Chest
- Shoulders/Core


Not specific days as workout and day depends on when I play sports in the week. 4 days a week Monday to Friday. I go to the gym at lunch time then after work I will go for a run between 3 and 5 km's at least 3 of those 4 days a week.

I love when people talk about "alkalizing the blood properly". If your blood is too acidic, it's typically a very serious condition implying basically kidney failure. If for some reason your blood pH is out of the acceptable range, you need medical attention and the treatments do not include juicing.

I think I've written about this before, but the body displays many different pHs depending on the solution being measured. As a whole though, the body is essentially a buffer system which means that it can chemically accommodate wide varieties of acids and bases without significant shifts in the various pHs. A change in pH beyond the acceptable range, is an extremely serious medical condition. I'm not going to go into the chemistry of a buffer but this simple explanation is still applicable to the body:

I am aware that hips are joints. I guess it's just easier to say "my hips are tight" than "the muscles and fascia in my hip areas are tight".

I don't know how people can work out on lunch breaks. I sweat like a pig when I work out.

By the time you get there, change, and then shower after and change to head back to work, how can you fit in a workout?!

It depends on what you are doing and how much you perspire as not everyone is the same. If I'm just doing shoulders or arms I'm not going to sweat out a whole lot in an hour. I don't shower after as I have a phobia for public washrooms and showers and use them only if I haven't showered in a day.

I take 1.5 hrs to work out at lunch. Make up for it on either end, at nights, weekends etc. People understand you want to take care of your body and if your employer doesn't provide that flexibility well then that sucks.

As Heep said.

- 3 mins to walk there
- 5 mins to change
- 60 - 75 minute work out
- 10 mins to shower and change
- 3 mins to walk back to work

About an 1:30 to 1:45 lunch. Into the office 30 mins early in the morning. Not that anyone in my office would care..

I also got at 11:00 am to beat the lunch rush.

I just go in the morning before work, best time of the day. My wife works 10s with a big commute so were up around 5:15 every morning, I'm at the gym by 5:45-6 and at work by 7:45-8. Works out perfect.

Naw...just drink some lemon juice. It'll clear that right up. The things you eat go directly into your blood stream...that's the way digestion works right?

I just switched to this schedule last August after a lifetime of afternoon/evening weekends and it's been the best gym change I've ever made. I can put so much more energy into my workouts this way.
