Spurs need to start paying.
Besides, it's not as if he's guaranteed constant CL football at WHL.

I was just being facetious. I do think that Kane is going to get paid though and we've seen a concerted effort on the part of Tottenham to hand out the contracts as the season has gone on. I think that Spurs are going to be very busy this summer because they need better depth to handle everything that looks like its coming down the pipe next year.

No problem.
What I'm saying is they are going to have to smash their wage structure. Kane is going to be looking for top$ especially if he has a stellar Euros.
Something has to change at Spurs or it is going to be business as usual in losing their top players.

Levy/Lewis have money, they just don't go in to the red with wages and transfers, as more money comes in, tv money now plus in 2 years attendence/luxery box money, the spending output will go up. They have said as much.
Spurs fans aren't worried about it, not sure why Man United fan's should be
also again with the consistently losing players, if they lose them to Real Madrid, again not a huge issue, you don't stop players from joining them or Barcelona. Ask annnnnnnnnnnnny other English club about that

you do, you just have to jam the fax machine
in all seriousness, I don't think Tottenham will have any trouble keeping/re-signing Kane, Alli and the others. The money's there, they obviously aren't keen on feeding other PL clubs with top talent any more and I can't see them losing their key players to other European top clubs either anytime soon.
actually really like what Pochettino has built there, not going to lie. Great young squad with quality, and it doesn't hurt that there's an Austrian in the squad I'd even root for them to win the title this year if it weren't for Leicester.

Yep, to me their biggest piece is Poch
I would rather lose any individual player than him right now

Outside Martial, all of United's most pleasant surprises have been the youngsters they've give a chance to. I wonder if maybe that gives them pause this summer to not go for big moves. That to me should be the play, let the young guys develop together and don't just plug in hefty transfer players. Better to develop a team than to buy one.

They'll be backing that Brinks truck up to his front lawn this summer. He's owed a pretty hefty raise and I can't imagine they don't give it to him.

Looks like Chelsea's new manager might have to start his tenure in the clink.
Quote:
Chelsea's incoming manager Antonio Conte should be handed a six-month suspended prison sentence in a hearing into sports fraud, according to the Cremona public prosecutor Roberto Di Martino.
Conte is being investigated over his alleged failure to report the arrangement of Albinoleffe's Serie B clash with his Siena side in May 2011. The 46-year-old, who will end his two-year stint as Italy's head coach after Euro 2016 to move to Stamford Bridge this summer, is accused of being aware of a match-fixing agreement for that game, even though he was not directly involved.
According to a preliminary investigation into that fixture, it emerged that Conte was aware of an agreement to allow Albinoleffe to win -- which they did 1-0 -- if Siena did not require a positive result to be promoted. Ferdinando Coppola, who was Siena's goalkeeper at the time but did not play in the fixture, claimed in his 2013 sports court hearing that Conte had "left it up to us to decide for ourselves."
He said: "Conte reminded us that he wanted to finish top, but that if the team felt obliged to adhere to the agreement with Albinoleffe, he would let us get on with it."

I honestly expect more deals like the Shaw and Martial ones. Use the financial muscle to get the best in the 18-20 age bracket. Pretty sure they'll buy Renato Sanches this summer, for example.

ugh, Mourinho AND Ibrahimovic at United would piss me off. Always kinda hated Ibrahimovic ... great player, but an idiot. For some reason, people think he's funny. Or cool, or whatever. He gets away with stuff that other players would get crucified for. Plus he's 35 this October. Do not want.

Caludio Ranieri in The Player's Tribune on 'Leicester's Amazing Run.'
We Do Not Dream
Quote:
Claudio, this is a very important year for the club. It is very important for us to stay in the Premier League. We have to stay safe.”
My reply was, “Okay, sure. We’ll work hard on the training ground and try to achieve this.”
Forty points. That was the goal. That was the total we needed to stay in the first division, to give our fans another season of Premier League football.
Back then, I did not dream that I would open the paper on April 4 and see Leicester City at the top of the table with 69 points. Last year on this same day, the club was at the bottom of the table.
Unbelievable.

An Andy Carroll hat-trick? I never thought I'd live to see the day.

Couldn't happen to a better club though! Gunners fans must be choked. Up 2-0 and then have to battle back for a draw.

If you want to waste your money betting on Bournemouth winning the Premier league, then go right ahead...
Assuming we avoid relegation this season (not mathematically certain just yet), right now if you offered me 17th next season I would snap your hand off.
But tonight we're 11th and loving it. It's beyond my wildest dreams.

Things are looking bleak for the Northeast. Both Sunderland and Newcastle probably going down. At least they'll still have their Tyne-Wear derby down there.
