on HF there is constant threads commenting on how the refs continue to hold the powerhouse Oilers down. it is awesome to see how they think.. even on 630 ched, they lament how the game isnt the same as the 80's with tons of goals, apparently if the refs let the teams play and called nothing, we would see an offensive juggernaut

Sounds like someone built the wrong ship for the times. That's an engineering problem from the industrial age, doesn't matter how many men you put behind the helm if it can't keep up with the times.

I honestly don't know how anyone can post on HF with all the trolls. I like the site for their prospect information, but the discussion that goes on there are right up there with reading YouTube comments.

I think the last time I was on that site and actually posted, I told the Oilers fans congrats on winning McDavid and I was sure he would be awesome for them. Then in response to some trolling comments about how angry Flames fans would be, I added that I liked our chances with guys like Gaudreau, Monahan and Bennett on the rise. That alone got me labelled as a troll, and it wasn't just by Oiler fans. Fans of other teams used the post to claim Flames fans were arrogant and overrating their players... blah, blah, blah. I think I made some snarky comment and then received a moderator warning.

It's almost hard not to get pulled into pissing matches over there.

No, if you read a little deeper, past the 'we should trade everyone not named mcsaviour', get into what they propose they will get for their damaged firsts. Thats where the delusion still resides and where the hilarity ensues.

i just love the fact there are literally 20+ posts on how Gaudreau > Hall. The debate is over. Even the oil faithful are starting to realize. A year ago that was a joke to them. Laughable.

The comments in that thread....praising Gaudreau. And they love his heart. And his IQ.


Pretty awesome that even a rival fanbase has to grudgingly admit that you have a better player.....
