Geez.
And the thing is that it is lose-lose.
It must be driving Yzerman crazy because the more stuff like this that happens - the less likely he gets value. Meanwhile Drouin continues to languish in the minors because he's being a moron.
The only winner in this is if Drouin gets his poop grouped - the team that acquired him likely for pennies on the dollar - will win big.
I kinda hope the Flames get him if the price is right. Home run swing.
Two 2016 2nds+Wotherspoon for Drouin.

It would be seen interesting to see Drouin, who was being a moron, move to moronic teams like Edmonton (Hall, Yakupov, etc) or Vancouver.
Unlike Calgary, those teams probably can't afford to have any more "bad attitudes" in their dressing rooms. Calgary, in the other hand, probably can. So it would be nice to get Drouin at the right price.

Wouldn't be surprised if Ottawa meets Yzerman's demands as this is how they got Turris and Murray is pretty aggressive in getting players he likes. Senators are one of the teams rumoured to be very interested.

I'm just not that interested in Drouin as I'd only offer our second for him. He's dropped so much in value, I think that's all he's worth.

I wouldn't be surprised if Yzerman does not get anything close to his current demands in a trade.

Do the Lightning and Yzerman set aside any hard feeling against Drouin for walking out on the team?

At this point it might be best for everyone if they can find a way to put the past behind them and move forward

A goal a game. Sounds like the kind of player I most teams would like on their team. You are making some major assumptions here based on his stats line alone and not watching him at all that he's some sort of puck hog and selfish player.

Especially with Stamkos possibly moving on they could use him in their lineup. Not sure if he and the coach can coexist though.

Celebrated Square Root Day

If for no other reason, Yzerman should be biting his lip and inserting him into the line-up immediately to upgrade his trade value. His value was at its lowest this season with all the BS and THEN Drouin decided to sit out.
If he could come back and be a significant piece in the playoffs for Tampa I bet it would instantly put him back into GM's minds as a future star with current attitude problems instead of maybe not even a future NHL'er with attitude problems.

Not so fast to the NHL yet.

Jonathan Drouin out injured from today's Syracuse Crunch game.

That to me looks like someone who all of a sudden is determined to make an impression.

And you have attempted a counter argument based on the same stats and the same amount of not watching him at all.
Getting 10 points in 10 games, and yet managing to be -8, isn't easy. It's a stat that's worthy of comment.
The purpose of quoting stats is to analyse. Which we all do. It's also possible to counter without being an ass.

News UpdateTampa Bay Lightning @TBLightning
The #TBLightning have recalled Jonathan Drouin and Matt Taormina from the @SyracuseCrunch. tbl.co/moves4-7
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
If Drouin plays in final two TB regular season games, he gets an accrued season counting towards UFA status but TB not concerned with that.

So with the Lightning calling him up can we all agree this will have zero impact on his long term career if he's any good? The team he walked away from is willing to have him back up in the NHL. Teams care about talent more than anything else.

All that trade talk likely for nothing. Betting he sticks and it's all brushed under the carpet. Drama be drama..
