I cannot get over this team. All that talent upfront and offense remains paltry. 198 tallies last year…up to 194 right now. McDavid and Draisaitl are uber-talented but learning; so what’s the excuse of those w/ plenty of experience by now? The forwards razzle-dazzle all over the ice…but that’s about it most nights.
Talbot must feel like Goose Gossage for the 1976 White Sox: "I had to pitch a shut-out to tie." Defense remains abysmal; no-one short of an Ekblad in this upcoming draft would help Edmonton immediately. If they don’t deal a blue-chip forward for some D in the off-season I’ll have to wonder what’s going on in Festival City.
