Buffalo up 1-0 on Toronto, a Sabres win is probably better for us as they're only 3 up on us.
Columbus / NYI is 1-1.

Heading into tonight:

22. Montreal 76
23. Arizona 75
24. Buffalo 73
25. Calgary 70
26. Winnipeg 69
27. Columbus 68
28. Vancouver 67
29. Toronto 67
30. Edmonton 67

Best case is:
Montreal, Arizona, and Canucks all win. If all that happens we'd see:

22. Montreal 78
23. Arizona 77
24. Buffalo 75
25. Calgary 70
26. Winnipeg 69
27. Vancouver 69
28. Columbus 68
29. Toronto 67
30. Edmonton 67

Man I'm disappointed in Columbus. They were ahead of us and on a roll not too long ago.

I blame Torterella, the idiot.

Not too concerned with Columbus. After this game, they have Carolina, Toronto and Buffalo in their final 5. 3 more than winnable games.

Team save % of .890 (last by a mile)
Worst PK in the league
8th worst PP
Most goals allowed

And the Flames still can't sink to the basement. Man, there's some bad hockey teams out there (Oilers I'm looking right at you).

I see Toronto are 3-0 down to the Sabres. Fair play, they knew that had to raise their tank game and they have. This fight for last place between the Leafs, Canucks and Oilers is going to be epic.

Kessel has both of the Penguins goals, 2-1 Pittsburgh early in the second period.

Carolina had a 1-0 lead after one period, the Rangers have scored twice in the second period for a 2-1 lead.

Toronto, Edmonton and Vancouver aren't going to pass us.

I've given up any hope for that.

I just hope Winnipeg and Columbus can quit being so pathetic.

Man I'm pulling for the jackets to come back in this game.

I think if buffalo wins tonight and the flames lose it will put us in 6th or better in the inverse standings.

And a Buffalo win + a Flames loss gives us 5 points of breathing room from sliding and further back in the lottery odds.

Atlantic Division watch after twenty minutes

The Devils lead the Panthers 1-0, Sislo with a power play goal. Kinkaid is in net for the Devils and has been busy so far facing 13 shots while Montoya has only faced five shots.

The Habs lead the Lightning 1-0, Desharnais with the goal. It has been wide open offense so far as Tampa has a 14-11 edge in shots.

I've given up on WPG. I think they have a tough schedule too.

Only thing with the Oilers/Nucks is that they still play each other twice. So some points will be distributed there, hopefully to VAN I guess.

The Predators strike back with a power play goal of their own from James Neal, 3-2 now.

We're already 6th.
Yes we are. And if buff wins and we loose it'll put us 5 pts out of 7th. No way we make up 5 pts over 5 games. So it's 6th or better before the balls drop!

I could handle Columbus winning the Matthews sweepstakes over the current bottom 3 dumpster fires.

BJs coming back after being down two goals in the first period. Saad on the power play in the second period and Boone Jenner tied it 37 seconds into the third period, it is 3-3 now! The Islanders cannot afford to lose points.
