Woot. Staples Center tonight. Last night's game was a lot of fun despite the loss.
Let's go boys!

Given the amount of times you've posted that tank picture, you had given up a while back.
I feel like the stars have aligned for another blowout tonight.
Therefore, Flames win 5-1. Monny with his first career hatty.

Grant doesn't look good on that first line, I'd lake a change up tonight.
Gaudreau - Monahan - Poirier
Hunter - Bennett - Ferland
Bouma - Backlund - Colborne
Bollig - Grant/Stajan if not allowed - Jooris

Loved his game in Arizona, but I agree still behind Shinkaruk and Kulak.
Is Johnny back in?

This is perfect. Really want to see Poirier with Gaudreau & Monahan. Unfortunately with Gaudreau back I think Poirier likely is sent back.

Really sucks having those anchor contracts such as Bollig and Stajan. I would rather see Grant sent down if a prospect has to go tho. We know what we have in Grant, it's just matter of opening up a bottom line spot for him. Poirier is still very much a mystery. First game he wasn't great, last night he looked very solid, tonight should be his chance. Atleast that's the way I see it. I'm sure Bob and Co. see it differently.

Can't say I disagree. Grant given a traditional recall vs. emergency was likely reward for the great AHL season he's having, and they clearly want to see if he can cut it as a winger as like you say, we know what we have in Grant otherwise. Really though I would have given (and I guess they still can) a regular call up to Poirier and play him on top to see if that elusive RW for the top line has been under our noses the entire time.
That all being said, maybe Bollig "tweaks" something during warm up and they have to keep a guy like Poirier around if Johnny is good to go.

Last night, I wished one of the call up scores his first NHL goal and that has been granted. Tonight, I again wish one of the call up scores his first NHL goal, and I will be happy.

Any word on the starting goalie?
I'm guessing Backstrom as part of the rotation of the 3 down the stretch.

Gaudreau and Jokipakka are game time decisions. But I believe they will play tonight. Awaiting word on who sits out and returns to Stockton

Sorry? The NHL average salary is ~2.58 million. Min salary is what, 550k? Bollig makes 1.15 million? So he's closer to the league minimum than he is to the league average. Calling his contract an "anchor" is beyond ridiculous. His contract doesn't hurt us at all. I've seen many people whine about his contract and it makes absolutely no sense to me. The amount of money you'd save by replacing him with a minor leaguer is negligible at best.
Bollig's contract isn't a problem. Bollig isn't a problem. Fans can make him their whipping boy and try to run him out of town all they want I guess. Stajan you have a point about. Wideman by far has the worst contract on the team. Bollig's contract is extremely low in the grand scheme of things. I don't really get the hate.

The minor leaguer would be better unless that minor leaguer is Colton Orr.

That's line dressing a full roster of Bolligs and saying they aren't the problem because they are cheap. Bolligs contract is indeed an anchor. He is forcing us to play more deserving/better/cheaper options in the AHL instead of on that 4th line spot he doesn't deserve. An anchor is something that holds you back, Bollig is the definition of an anchor on this team.
