If Hiller ever plays a game again this season, when and if he makes a save you drink to it.

Hartley was probably trying to be kind to Hiller by giving him a start against his old team and fans. Man did that back fire!

Not too surprising to see a somewhat sad sack effort by the boys. What happens around here when the word gets out that Hiller is starting? Confidence goes out the window. The game is met with an extreme lack of enthusiasm. For us fans, the game is over before it started.

The players are only human, too. Why should they be different? Sure, they're professionals, but they ain't going to the playoffs. It has to be an enormous mental hurdle to get over.

Fess up - who in here besides me was secretly hoping for the Ducks to get 10 goals?

Hiller probably thought his career was done after his last start. No wonder. Bob being Bob.

Giving this team the best opportunity to even have a chance at the curse breaker would've been a better coaching decision than being Mr. classy moves for a goalie that already knew he was done.

Wonder who said this.

@WesGilbertson

Most accurate quote of the night, courtesy a frustrated #Flames player en route to showers: "That was (bleeping) ugly." Yes, it was.

#Flames head coach Bob Hartley: "We have to say it the way it is — our goalies had a tough night."

Hey, I thought for sure it was going to be 9-0, since there's not much to play for other than watching some players reach some personal stats records I am happy to see Gio, Brodie, Shinkaruk and Monahan reach some milestones or almost reach them.

I think Shinkaruk is legit. I see a lot of Cammy in there except I think hes a better skater.

IDC what happens in the offseason as long as the Flames get a real goalie to play with Ortio next season. Even if it means they have to overpay. Seriously cannot go bargain or fair deal hunting to address such a glaring, gaping vacuous void in this teams structure.

My guess would be Bollig,Bouma or Engelland.

I'm not going to lie, I didn't want the Flames to break the curse on a meaningless game. I want our first win in Anahiem to be a big one for the team, not a going through the motions game at the end of a bad season.
