Keith's a regular lumberjack. I forgot the Jeff Carter hack from the WCF. I hope he gets a heavy suspension.

Pleasantly surprised to see Keith not get just a game or two. About time he's served a bunch of games with all the stuff he's pulled off during the years.

Bettman all but admitted that he took his time on purpose. Said something like 'he ended up sitting out 19 games so you can draw your own conclusions'. There's a video from Sportsnet out there of it.

I'd like to see him sit the remainder of the regular season plus the entirety of the first round of the playoffs, making the suspension anywhere from 9-12 games.

i have literally zero confidence in any predictability for this or any offense.
it could range from 15 games and shining gary's shoes and picking up his dry cleaning for a month, to carpool karaoke with james corden.
good think coyle had a helmet and visor on.

Biggest problem with this is Keith isn't considered a "repeat offender" since he hasn't been suspended in 18 months.

Yeah, that will play a factor for sure. If Coyle was seriously hurt it could/should have been a very long suspension. Keith is lucky he just cut him up a bit.

Should be at least 10 games. I like Keith as a player but he is proving himself to be a dirty spaz. That crap is so much more dangerous than pretty much anything else that goes on during the play.
Say what you want about head shots, at least hitting is part of the game. Slashing someone in the face is about as cheap and dangerous as it gets. So many ways that can go wrong.

That only determines how much money he forfeits. A player's full history is absolutely given weight, whether or not his last offense was within the last 18 months.

I think it is likely the remainder of the regular season and then the 1st playoff game.

Hey, I don't think it's been mentioned in this thread, but can anyone update me on whether or not Keith is a repeat offender?

I can't think of a single instance where a player was offered an in-person hearing and came out with less than five games.
I think he's done for the regular season. The only question is whether the league has the courage to sit him for some playoff games.

Really hope he sits a few playoff games. Really dirty play that has no place in the game.

Keith gets a 6 game suspension. So thats the rest of the regular season plus 1 play off game. Meh, I bet both he and the Hawks will take that.
