Eichel and Gaudreau had extra games playing for their country in the WJC and world championships.

Other than Flames prospect scrimmages I don't know that Jankowski has skated outside the Eastern time zone. Playing in the Boston area over 30 out of his 40 games were an hour drive from home. ie not Denver or UND or even Michigan.

He has not had the travel league experience of the USHL or Canadian Junior hockey as most NCAA players have had.

Has he ever been on a bus for a 6 hour travel day?

And I would agree with that. I will be surprised if Jankowski isn't in the AHL for most of next season.

Isn't the plan for him to stay in the AHL for most of next season? I think he may be called up but I'd think they'd want him to spend the year learning the game first. Unless he comes out and plays amazing and makes up the team's mind for them I think he should stay down in the A for the year.
