Loved him as a Hitmen, but that was a late hit on an unsuspecting player. I think it might be a suspension, it was way late and retribution from about 20 seconds earlier when Polak knocked the stick out of Virtanen's hands.

should get a suspension for it

Knock yourself out.
Since 2000:
Hossa = 35 ENG out of 455 total = 7.7%
Iginla = 30/517 = 5.8%
Ovechkin = 26/518 = 5.0%
Thornton = 20/334 = 6.0%
E. Staak = 20/325 = 6.2%
...
Benn has 8/188 = 4.3%

87-88 is the first year that they list ENG, here are the top 10 all-time leaders of ENG since 1987:
Code:
Hossa = 37/499 = 7.4%
Iginla = 32/608 = 5.3%
Lemieux = 30/545 = 5.5%
Gretzky = 30/351 = 8.5%
P. Bure = 28/437 = 6.4%
Selanne = 26/684 = 3.8%
Ovechkin = 26/518 = 5.0%
Tkachuk = 24/538 = 4.5%
Alfredsson = 23/444 = 5.2%
Kovalchuk = 22/417 = 5.3%
So yes, Iggy got a fair number of empty net goals but it was smack dab in the middle of the percentage of ENGs that elite goal scorers seemed to get them.
Hossa and Gretzky are the 2 standouts.

Yah it's dirty, he'll be suspended.
It was just a cheeky little poke at a nucks fan to get you riled up. Sadly it only riled up fellow flames fans. Backfired.

Nice to see Malhotra on TV. Always liked that guy (yes, even on the canucks) and really wanted him on the Flames when he went over to the Canucks. ####ty way his career ended.

think he still has a career in the game left somewhere, think he would make a great coach, or skills coach on defensive zone play for forwards

Whats wrong with EN goals anyway? its means you are out of the ice in a critical situation and are able to defend your own net and put the game away and the other end

Keith's suspension will be directly proportionate to the amount of US media attention the incident garners.

Smart hockey player, could easily see him coaching. He was the perfect 3rd line centre, played that role so well.

March 29 with nine games!
Wow, John Garrett. Logan Couture gets a hat trick, and yet cannot manage to overtake 2nd star Chris Higgins and his single goal in the three-star selection.

To be fair Garrett did say that he made his game-star selections before Couture scored his third goal, but it is still laughable to have selected a Canuck ahead of either Pavelski or Courure in this game. Hell, swap one of them out for Reimer and it looks just as stupid.

Why don't some people want Reimer? Looks pretty solid to me we would be lucky to get him without giving up any assets

I would be okay with Reimer, but if he keeps up this level of play through the playoffs, what are the chances that he even hits free agency? He's playing REALLY we in SJ.

The other thing with Reimer is that it will be a buyers market. There won't be a lot of teams bidding for his services.

San Jose could re-up him before he goes on the market. They're only paying Jones $3M per.
He's my choice though as other than money he's free, has good stats, and at the right age.

Is Reimer going to be playing for them in the playoffs? I was under the impression that he was brought in basically as insurance in case Jones gets hurts or really falls off.
He usually played well in Toronto too. For whatever reason they never showed complete faith in him.

They could but there is the expansion wrinkle in this as well.
