So its Axl and some no names, sorry i'll keep my $100. I saw them in '93 when it was still Guns'n'Roses.

Yeah, I never saw the original lineup either, just the Skin & Bones tour in '92-'93 when Gilby Clarke and Matt Sorum were in the band.
Anyways, just letting people know and hoping someone will share presale info.

Are they calling it the "Get Ready To Riot" tour? Does Axel Rose even know where Calgary is? Will our own Axel step in for the other Axel if that Axel decides that Axel shouldn't take to the stage?

I thought Axl Rose was studied and extracted for his nutrients.
I'm a huge G'n'R fan, but they're just a mockery of themselves now.

Had an idea!

G'n'R is now called Velvet Revolver.
IMO anyway.

I wouldn't mind seeing Axl Rose live but I just don't trust him, he might not show like in Vancouver, or he might have a little mood and only play for 30 minutes.

As far as I know, they just completed a tour in Europe and a few shows in the U.S. without incident. Except for Axl not singing the last couple songs of one of their shows at Wembley I think it was...Sebastian Bach filled in.
Axl 'n Roses is better than nothing as far as I'm concerned. I prefer seeing him to VR.

I think I'd rather pay to see our Axel on stage instead

At least CP's Axl is probably good for the refund. Axel Rose must be down to fumes by now.

To be fair to Axl they have had some very good reviews from the Europe shows. They are a very proficient band. But they lack the character of the old G'N'R
But he has to actually make it through a full tour with showing up before I pay to see them again.
I saw them on the UYI tour in Edmonton. Original lineup except Adler was already replaced by Sorum. But Adler is a hopeless addict that can't keep simple rhythms anymore. He needed to replaced then and is even worse now.

Oddly enough, the band I played with did a rendition of "Sweet Child of Mine"..best leave it to Rose!!
but in a pinch...my Strat and Tak are available.

I found it funny at a Stamps game, they were advertising something for Q107 Classic Rock (probably to do with the cheerleaders) and as they said "Q107 Classic Rock" they had Paradise City playing in the background.
I thought it odd to consider GnR "Classic Rock."

I found it odd when Q107 first started sponsoring the Outriders, and they'd dance to Britney Spears. I'm all for them dancing... Never would have thought Britney was considered "classic rock". :P

And in all honesty looking at Velvet Revolver it's no Axl = blech.
You'd think they'd figure it out and just bury the hatchet already.
