Anybody have a link to a page where you can see lottery odds including odds of falling? Can't seem to google one.
I've seen the simulator but a couple articles have had lists where you can see a team in 5th place's odds of drafting 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th or falling down a slot or two. Thanks if anybody has one handy.

Columbus GM Jarmo Kekalainen is quietly investigating what it might take to do what Brian Burke did in 1999, when he secured both of the Sedin brothers with the No. 2 and 3 selections. Columbus would have to have one of the top three picks, and find a way to trade for another.

I honestly don't know if there is anything colombus could offer for a 2-3 overall if the flames got it. If the flames got a top 3 pick, I can't think of any realistic trade that would be good enough to trade it away.

They have some solid young pieces.
Atkinson at 26 years old looks like a stud and Boone Jenner as a centreman. Also Ryan Murray and Seth Jones on D.
But I agree they don't have a stud F I'd be looking for in order to give up #2 or #3.

I don't think they'd realistically trade Jones after just getting him. And I'd take one of the 19 year old Finns over both those guys. Even if the bj's took back bad contracts, it wouldn't be worth it. Both the Finns look like the real deal and could be legitimate impact players.

I take Saad over any of their forwards. If they wanted the Flames first I would want Saad+Jenner/Murray for Fin pick+Stajan+Wideman/Engellend/Raymond/Smid
If the Flames could dump 2 of those bad contracts get Saad and either Jenner or Murray that would be easily worth it IMO.

I left Saad off due to his price tag mainly, but I agree if you could include a couple contract dumps off our books as well suddenly it makes more sense.

Maloney brings up speculation #Coyotes might trade OEL for Auston Matthews pick. "That will never happen."

I don't know if the Finns are ready to make the jump to the NHL. I have a feeling that we'll see Matthews and then one surprising player taken somewhere in the top-15 crack the roster and even the Finns spend another year in Finland/AHL before they make the jump to the NHL.
Just a suspicion, not really based on anything other than reading.

It's unlikely that they'll stay in Finland but it's entirely possible that they'll spend some time in the AHL. They'll get a long look at camp but their chances depend on their summers and the teams that draft them.
Not guaranteed to make their NHL teams right away at this point, but who knows where they are after a long summer.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
In the past couple of weeks, I've had a few NHL scouts suggest WDR's Mikhail Sergachev is making a push to be top D in 2016 draft class.
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Top 4 D as ranked on TSN's mid-season list in early Feb: 5. Jakob Chychrun; 7. Olli Juolevi; 11. Jake Bean; 12. Mikhail Sergachev.

Sergachev looked like a beast tonight, I am pretty confident he has the highest ceiling as his dominant stretches are godly. Haven't seen that level from the other defencemen. I have not seen Bean though.

Some separation now between the men and the boy tankers. Now a clear bottom 6. Looks highly likely the Flames will finish somewhere between 25-28 (3-6 last). With only 4 games left a very high probability of the Oil tankers finishing 30th again.

For the love of baby Jebus, just put bloody Hiller in for the rest of the season. We can hold it to 2 points the rest of the way if everybody pulls in the same direction.

I assume the 2 points you're talking about is the game vs Edmonton.

IMO they could probably go with a rotation of Hiller and Backstrom down the stretch and move into the bottom 3 for good.

It's also likely that one of these two won't have a great NHL career. Not every top 3 turns into even a guaranteed NHL regular.
