Hoping he has a good night. Would be a bit bummed if he didn't hit PPG. It's all there is to root for at this point.

Comments like this separate the Johnny Hockey fanboys from people watching the entire team.
In terms of individual stats there is Monahan hitting 30, Backlund hitting 20, Hamilton besting his goal and point total from last year. Giordano is one goal and point away from hitting 20/50, marks he's never achieved. Does Bennett have another strong stretch in him to hit 40 points? 7 points in the last 9 games is needed. Colborne sitting at 16 goals after having a strong last quarter.
Lots of little storylines amongst the team to watch.

Jesus now we're being police'd on what we can root for while this team closes out this miserable excuse of a season?
I'm cheering for Monahan to get to 30 again and for Backlund cause he's my favorite Flame. However, those milestones don't compare to Johnny hitting PPG in his sophomore year.

I'd be way too happy if both Johnny and Monahan hit 30 goals

Meh. What's the difference if he hits 80 or 81 points? One point obviously, but how can that in anyway make his season less impressive?

No, you're being criticized. You can say what you want. Other people can criticize it how they want.
You'd think you, of all people, would be used to this idea by now.

With a victim complex as large as yours, you might want to look into becoming a Canucks fan. I bet you could wave the hell out of a white flag.

LOL what kind of person has Backlund as their favorite Flame?? He's soft and disappears in stretches! Replaceable bottom-nine player for sure!

Victim complex? Yup, I think I'm such a victim cause the hockey team I root for sucks.
Don't know how that's playing the victim card. I think you might take this game a little too seriously if you think people talking #### about their team when they're having one of their worst seasons in franchise history is them having some victim complex.
No. The team sucks. I'm hoping Johnny closes out the season strong. Life goes on. If anything I'm going to save thousands of dollars on playoff tickets this year so this is net positive for me.

Really!? Mr. David Jones. Seriously!? You of all people.
He's the same age as me and was our 1st round pick from that draft (where '89 birth years were eligible).
I've been following him since he was drafted because of that so yeah. I've been rooting for him a lot.

polak, you gotta learn to just laugh it off man.
Scorpion's post is an obvious bait given his Jones fandom.

Literally in a thread about a guy to make a certain amount of goals, assists, and points. Someone gets reamed for hoping the guy, in the subject of the thread, gets a PPG. Because he doesn't say anything about the other accomplishments of the team. Not everyone cares about career bests, but PPG is something that is recognized league wide.
Ming boggling.

Well, no. Polak isn't being, as you said, 'reamed' here. More poked. With sarcasm sticks. In a 'we like you but consider this' type way.
He just needs to widen his scope a little bit.
