I know the counter argument, but if Gaudreau can't produce on the road that's a big concern. The best players in the league simply do it, regardless of the team they are on. If Gaudreau is going to be an elite player in the NHL, he has to start putting goals and points on the board when the team is away from the Saddledome.

Part of that should come when the team gets better, but he should be displaying that already on his own. It wasn't an issue last year, and one of the arguments you could make is that difference is a large part of why Calgary is missing the playoffs this year. What's Calgary's home/away record this year?

his numbers on the road weren't bad last year. So it can't be all on him.

COL=Colorado
CBJ=Columbus Blue Jackets

Just a little confusing there.

Really want COL to win (for iggy) and I want PHI to lose (for the wings to continue The Streak)

Funny you say that because I had typed CBJ but I hate that - every other team is the 1st 3 letters of the city so I changed it.

Mission accomplished tonight.
Management wanted to put an end to the point streak, so Hiller, for no other explainable reason, was given yet another opportunity to ensure no further points were picked up.
It makes zero sense why this guy should ever dress as even a back up for this team. If we're broadcasting full-tank from here on out, then let him play the rest of the season. There's no other reason why he'd ever need to play unless you're specifically trying to lose.

The 'knees-down the whole time their in our end' style is for lazy goalies who can't be bothered transitioning from standing to butterfly and back more than once a period.

Yeah that had me confused too as I was very sure that the Avs were in the last wildcard spot after beating the greasers last night.

COL has always been Colorado and the Jackets could be either CBJ or CLB.

That game was a crapfest.
Kadri is a feminine hygiene product.
Someone should tell Nylander that scoring against actual NHL goaltending is harder than what he experienced tonight.

Missed the game and won't bother to catch it later. Flames pretty much told us how important this game was to the organization by starting Hiller. Thanks for that.

I feel so sorry for Hiller. Its obvious he doesn't want to play anymore and hasn't come to grips with it.

The Flames have the 10th most goals in the league. They were 8th last year.

They could be better, but that's not a huge problem at all. If they were getting competent goaltending, they would likely be in a similar position as they were last season.

The Flames top 2 offensive players are in their 2nd and 3rd season...the team is 10th in goals...offence is fine and will get better/deeper and that will help everyone. If JG had road numbers like he does at home he would be going for the scoring title give the guy a break. Not to mention he has played much of the year with the likes of Ferland, JJ, ect.

Everybody knows it goal tending is the #1 issue...I think thats a good thing they can fix it with one guy, lets hope they find him sooner rather than later.

I didnt get to watch tonight but I notice that Dougie had the least icetime among our Dmen. Did he leave the game or just have a tough go tonight?
