If someone takes liberties on Gaudreau, I'm actually fine with someone retaliating with even a suspend able offense (that was not one by Jooris). Teach other teams that if you touch Gaudreau, prepare for some pain. It's about time someone stepped up for him after him getting repeatedly slashed in the wrists all year without reaction.

Your defense of him is bizarre

Believe what you want. Plenty of games end 6-4 and 5-3 and it's not always goaltending. It seems like you have unrealistic expectations, you expect absolute perfection. Screened shots to the top corner go in a lot. It's one of the most reliable way to score goals, even on elite goaltenders. You can't blame Hiller for every single goal he lets in or you lose credibility because the occasional goal is actually legit
Disclaimer: I, in no way consider Hiller to be a good goalie. He routinely lets in 1-2 weak goals per game.

Emotions running high on the board tonight. But losing to the Leafs will do that.

I find opinions become more convincing the more condescending someone presents them.
Just me?

For me the score of the game has nothing to do with it, it's a combination of Kadri and that I had the misfortune of reading the brain cell rotting opinions of Leafs media personalities on Twitter.

He's almost always too deep, it's why he's fundamentally flawed at this point. That said if he was a foot further out I still don't think he stops a screened top corner shot.

Ya I got no problem with that once in a while. Looked worse than it was cause Kadri turtles like a big baby.

He has given up 4 or more goals in 12 of his 24 games, and 6 of his last 7
6 of his last 7

Hiller with the solid play there, recognizing it was an icing and not touching the puck.
If the team in front of him can pull their weight and we win this, the hard hat has to go to Hiller.
Actually, on 2nd thought, I'm not sure the hard hat will suffice.
