And didn't Nurse recently get a 3 gamer (with no prior history) for essentially attacking a player much in the same way as Jooris just did? Or is that OK because he's an Oiler?
My evaluation is just fine, thanks.

Yes he got whack to the back of the leg but it wasn't that hard. It's the way he went down. Give me a break, he looks like someone shot him and it wasn't necessary to go down like that. As far as suspension, give me a break!! How many did we seen a player jumped a guy after a big hit especially to one of their best player.

He was diving from the Jooris slash. No idea why JG even got a penalty.

This was a good litmus test to see who in the media was a shameless Leaf homer. Loving the crying on twitter from Mirtle, Cox, and so on

It was pretty obvious on the TSN replay, not sure if Sportsnet had access to that angle. Both Jorris and Johnny slashed him around the same time.

God I hate Sportsnet's lack of awareness when it comes to their audience.

I think this might be the first time I'm happy to be watching the TSN broadcast in a bar in Vancouver.

Jooris jabs him pretty good.
Hey, I'm not one to defend a player with the rep of Kadri, but I'm not sold on this being one of his d-bag moments.

Are you serious? Couldn't be a bigger dive than it was.

Yeah, love taps at best. Johnny gave him a slight tap, Jooris did it with more force, but nowhere near enough to send him to the ground. Think some people are giving Kadri way too much credit, he's a dirty cheater who does everything possible to draw penalties, just like he did there.
Throw a cheap hit, embellish on the "slash" and then curl up like a turtle whilst Josh Jooris of all people lays into him. He's a cheater, a coward and just a garbage hockey player. Hope someone lays him out in the 3rd period.

I could handle calling Jyrki "Beef" as a nick name. That is very fitting for our city.

This would be a good game for Ferland to turn it up to 11.

Yeah. Cox calling Gaudreaus slash "Vicious and cheap" was sensationalism at it's finest.
TSN panel admitted that Kadri is on a list for diving and even if it wasn't diving, he's lost all benefit of doubt with the league. Right up there with Marchand.
If anyone should be putting an X on Kadri's back it should be Ferland, he should be laying out a big clean devastating hit, it's what he is supposed to be good at.

Well, yes and no. I agree with you—he definitely felt Jooris's slash and that is what he is reacting to. But with how far his head snaps back and how far he throws his stick, that's an embellishment every time.

Not a huge difference in what Nurse did in comparison to Jooris. Nurse received 3 games.
There is no padding on the back of the leg. It doesn't take much to collapse from a whack on that part of the leg, especially at the knee.
I also think the "love tap" everyone is talking about is downplaying the severity a tad.
