No question about it...you can see him look up and just before he shoots the angle on his stick changes.

brilliant play by the Captain and good for Colborne too as if he doesn't go to that tough area of the ice, that goal doesn't occur.

I don't buy this sentiment at all. Target to your heart's content, just be prepared for the response.

Slashing a player to the ice and then attacking him is not an appropriate nor to be expected response, IMO.
