Wish we could've held that lead, but not a terrible game.
Interested to see how Backstrom plays in net next game.

I thought they called it right. Ortio tripped Iggy pretty clearly to me.
It was BS when they thought Gio was getting it.

OP - you forgot to add PGT in thread title!
Meh on the loss in OT - the extra point was more important to the Avs than the Flames!

I really like how 'Dome fans show respect for Iggy.

Flames played pretty well. Nice to see Freddie with a goal.
A couple pieces here and there and someone to solidify the goaltending and this team will be pushing to make the playoffs next season. Some better special teams and better goaltending......shouldn't take much to improve those. Looking forward to next season already.

No. The record was 4 seconds apart back in 1989.

Flames scored 2 shorthanded goals in 4 seconds against the Nordiques in 1989 per the Avs broadcast.

First they missed an obvious one at the other end...then Ortio is in his crease trying to deflect the puck and Iggy skates through and trips, goes down pretty easy I might add

What I think this shows us is how god awful the Flames were so often before the trade deadline. The Flames right now look like the better roster against most of the Wild Card level teams. They were certainly better for most of this game against a desperate Avalanche team which needed this win. And have been doing this frequently since the Penguins game.
Hopefully these Flames show up next season as oppose to the train wreck which put them in lottery position hole.
