no, if Liverpool win then there will be 5 English teams in the CL next year. Just like Spain this year.

Yeah, the Europa League is separate.

That being said, I'm not jumping up and down for joy just yet. I still think this is Dortmund's tournament.

Which is a shame because they're going to qualify for the UCL in Germany on their own.

Thanks, I don't think that was always the case, or maybe it was and I'm mixed up? Either way though, Dortmund looked really good. Sure Tottenham didn't field their top team, but they had some quality players out there and Dortmund just picked them apart and made it look easy.

yeah it's a new rule that the EL winner gets a CL berth, I think Sevilla were the first to benefit from it this year. UEFA implemented the rule in an attempt to make the EL more popular.

From a Bayern perspective Benfica are an easier draw than Juve, so thats positive and from a Liverpool perspective, if we can get past Dortmund we stand a really good chance of winning the EL.

Klopp's return to Dortmund will definitely be interesting.

Can't see anyway he doesn't get an enormous ovation from those fans

Happy with Bayern's draw. I think Wolfsburg is going to cause Real issues, probably won't win but I think it'll be tighter than expected

lol yes!

I was just talking to my boss yesterday about the upcoming draw and was hoping Real would draw Wolfsburg.

... of course now I'm sure the injury streak will continue, or Benzema will get arrested or something and we'll lose somehow.

Then Perez will buy 3 more attacking midfielders in the summer.

I think Bayern got the nicest draw. Benfica arent garbage or anything but they're definitely the weakest of those teams other than maybe City in their current run of form.

I wouldn't even know where to start with his obituary, he was such a massive figure in the sport.

he legitimately made an entire country, let alone a way to play the game, relevent on the biggest stage

most people don't realize before him the Dutch hadn't played in a tournament since the start of World War II

68 is far too young, RIP

Neville sacked.

Quote:
Gary Neville has been sacked by Valencia after less than four months in charge, with former coach Pako Ayestaran taking charge until the end of the season.

Neville, 41, was appointed head coach of the La Liga club on Dec. 2 but failed to turn their season around.

In 16 games in charge of Valencia, Neville won just three games, drew five and lost eight. Los Che currently sit 14th in the table, six points above the relegation zone.
