Okay - I am in now (bit of a slow drive). I have no meetings today, so I should be around my computer all day for the most part. I could also block off lunch time if you think we could do a bunch of hands during then.

No worries - just busting some balls. we'll probably get going here in 15 minutes or so based on Girly's timing

There were many months last year when I was here before 7:00 am, and stayed until after 10:00 pm. Those sucked. Now that the software has been implemented, I'm back to regular hours. I don't always get here by 8:30, but I make sure to leave by 5:00.

Yikes - I've had some bad hours, but never 7am to 10pm. I used to be an early riser, getting in around 7:15 or so, but soon realized that arriving earlier did not equal leaving earlier. So I've started coming in around 8:15 or so now, but still essentially leave at the same time. Don't think I'll ever go back to early mornings.

At a job I had for five years my boss was really good about flexible work hours, as long as all the deliverables were met. From mid December to mid March I'd work from 7am until 9pm, but never on weekends. A lot of this was for year ends, but most was setting up the work for the rest of the year. Once March settled down I was gone from the office by 2pm almost every day. I played 82 rounds of golf one year.
The job I had before this one sucked. There was so much wrong with everything there, that I was in before 7am every single day, and some nights I wouldn't get home until after midnight. It was not worth it at all, and I left after 10 months. Now my job just sucks, but the hours are better.

why did you leave the job you had for 5 years? 82 rounds of golf sounds great!

I wanted more money, a higher position, more responsibility. When my boss was transferred to another division, they brought in a new boss and stunted my career growth. It was a bad decision to leave, but I learned a lot of things over the last three years and have more skills. I still miss golfing that much though.
