Steelers sign LT Ryan Harris from Denver (2 yrs, 3.9m). Surely a cheaper option than Okung or Beachum and also not as injury-prone as those two, so I like that move.

I don't mind since there really isn't anything on the offense at the moment. Keep what you can expect to have potential of being productive.

Bears are really collecting draft picks this year. Can't say I love the return, but after Zach Miller's resigning it doesn't surprise me much.

So the Broncos replace a talented injury prone LT with...a talented injury prone LT? maybe Clady's foor injury is worse than anyone knows. Hopefully now they can chuck Clady and a 4th at SF for Kaep.

They signed Griffin to a two-year deal worth $15 million, including a $3.5 million signing bonus and $6.75 million in guarantees. The maximum value, including incentives, is $22 million. The $7.5 million average is "bridge'' quarterback money and won't preclude the Browns from drafting a quarterback high.

The Broncos "pursuit" of Colin Kaepernick has become laughable. Glad Elway is continuing to build the team with players that "want to be Broncos".

Not really player news, but I just read a snippet about the Lions updating their uniforms for next year, and in the article it mentions how every team is getting a "colour rush" alternate uniform for next season. Why??

Between social media and the traditional media last season, those unis were panned pretty much across the board. They even made a "C'mon, Man!" segment for being so fugly. Either NFL marketing doesn't pay attention to feedback at all, or they were already too far down that road with all the teams last year for next season's release when the initial uniforms got critically trashed by everybody.

Some statistics that support trusting John Elway....

From 2011-14, 4/17 UFA's signed by Elway made the Pro Bowl within 3 years. The Broncos have lost 35 UFAs in the same time period with only 1 of the 35 making the Pro Bowl.

Pretty impressive.
