Was wondering why Scottie Upshall was celebrating that first goal like a buffoon. He hasnt scored in two months/23 games, though looking at his past few seasons it looks like he should be used to that.

Wonder if Reaves gets suspended for his headshot to Hathaway.

Here's the video:

I don't think he gets anything. Reaves was trying to hit Hathaway, but I don't think he was going for a head shot - it is just that in following the puck Hathaway ducked his head a bit and thus some contact happened.

Definitely should be a suspension, but I don't think the NHL really cares about player safety, so who knows.

Tough call, Hathaway put himself in a vulnerable position, and it did kinda look like an accident, but we've seen that not make a difference (Aulie hit on Stajan last year)

Since it's Reaves I could see it getting 2 games

Gio with 39 points in his last 47 games. That's actually a higher points per game pace than he had last year in his Norris caliber season.

His 17 goals this year is currently tied for 3rd most for defensemen.

Monahan completely shut down Tarasenko tonight. I noticed multiple times when it was 1 on 1 in the corner or on the boards and Monny just stripped him and took off. What a game he played.

Also Hamilton looks better and better. I've noticed the past 20 games or so he's been more aggressive both physically and with his reads and it suits him well.

All in all a great game, with some nerve racking moments, eff the Blues. Reffing was atrocious again tbh.

It sounds weird to say given the season, but I feel like if this team can get an impact winger in the draft, and address goaltending, they could easily be a contender in 2 years.

On a side note, does anyone follow the Flames Instagram page? The captions on their photos are funny, lots of song lyrics

What I liked is we didn't look intimidated by the Blues size. We're gradually getting bigger and tougher.

I've wanted to see us rip the Blues a new one like that for a very long time.

Such a weird time for it to finally happen. But I'm sure happy to have been at the game for that one.

side note - Monahan now has jumped up to 40th overall in scoring. Hope this is him getting geared up for a strong 16/17 season.

Yep, Reaves saw an opportunity for pay back and got it. I'd say one game.
