So why wasn't that interference on the Blue that knocked Monahan down right after he passed the puck? Exactly the same as Hathaway on Reaves. Whatever. I'm done trying to figure out the refereeing in the NHL.

Frolik and Backlund are awesome together.
Great pairing for the third line.

I just want some consistency from the reffing. Not long before that call on Hathaway, Jooris took an elbow that was just as weak as the one Engelland got called for. Not to mention the missed call on the slash/spear Dougie took earlier on our PP, and I thought Monahan also got tripped on that PP.

It was a stoppable shot, but all goalies give those up once in a while, especially in first periods. Only if it becomes a pattern do you worry.

Well, usually when we play the Blues they score a couple goals like that and lock it down for the rest of the game. The Flames have given themselves a chance to win this one after that weird start.

We played them well like this last time in the Dome, too. They got real lucky that Hiller was in net.

Man I hate to be THAT guy, but it really sucks when the Flames play against two teams every game, as they seemingly have done for the past few weeks...

Welcome to the foil hatters! In all honesty I think most of their bungling is due to incompetence, but when they actively ignore opponents penalties it's garbage.
That goal the official kicked to Stastny was just derp worthy.

I'm so thirsty. Can't get enough water. Yet I'm so full I can't drink much more. These are first world problems, my friends.

Good shift by Colborne, held onto the puck, used his big frame to protect it, tired the fore checker out and sets up a strong scoring chance.

Slap shots make me so happy. No one ever takes them anymore, it's such a lost art. So when someone does take one (and it hits the net), I get all warm and fuzzy, regardless of whether it's a goal or not.
