Bollig, nor any other Flames player, can be sent down after the trade deadline unless they are on recall.

I hate playing typo Nazi, but that's the weirdest way I have ever seen anybody spell ‘Kent Nilsson’.

Zero. They aren't sending Bollig down. If they want to keep Agostino here they can use one of their remaining 2 regular recalls on him.

Besides Bollig is our pseudo-enforcer up front, Agostino does not replace his role on our team. Agostino can win himself a 2nd/3rd line winger role but his future has really nothing to do with Bollig.

43 points last year in Adirondack and 42 points this year in Stockton - nice to see the emergency call-up go to probably the most deserving player on the Heat. Hope you have a good game Kenny!

To start at least he is going to be on the second line with Frolik and Backlund. Am wishing him well.

Who are you talking about? Bollig? Stajan? or Hathaway? I think all 3 will get more than 4 minutes.

Let's call this what it is, the Flames are sitting anyone with a bump or bruise to get regulars out of the lineup to help them lose games.

Maybe. It's also a good chance to see call-ups and assess others that we normally wouldn't get a chance to see

Are you drunk? That's why Brodie has 28 minutes a game before he got injured? Sounds like a tanking mentality to me. Also the last person they sit right now is Bennett - he is part of the future. If it is shoulder related than why mess around with that?

Hartley in game tries to win with what he has. But you have to be blind to not see that since the deadline every minor bump or bruise results in an emergency recall.

Take out Brodie and Bennett for so far one game and all of those decisions have probably made the flames better

More like there's no point in letting players play hurt when there's nothing on the line.

If there is a chance that the injury will get worse, I agree 100%. But the odds that all of these "injuries" resulting in time missed will get worse by playing is extremely slim. I know it's nice to think the Flames are above tanking, but they aren't.

Back on topic, Agostino looked OK but not great last night. More turnovers than I would like, he seemed to be trying to get the puck to Frolik every time he had it and the Coyotes read it every time as well. Turnovers weren't costly, but you want to see a player adjust throughout the game and perhaps nerves just got the best of him. Hope to see another game from him. Expecting a more composed player out there.

The Flames aren't tanking. I'm not sure how anyone here would have the player's medical information in front of them to make that kind of accusation. For all anyone here knows, there are many guys playing through injuries right now.

Please list these incidences.

As Samonadreau pointed out, Brodie has been playing 28 minutes a night. And Bennett is not a player that they would bench in order to play a call-up.

You're way off base here. AND you're calling others blind for not agreeing with you.

Extremely slim is still a possibility.

Besides, minor injuries can very easily cut into their summer training, which in turn might affect their starts for next season. When there's nothing on the line for this season, there's just no point in not resting players even with minor injuries.

I'm sure in the backs of their minds a lot of people in the organization are also quietly thinking "...and it doesn't hurt our draft position either", but I doubt it's the primary goal here. NHL players get minor bumps and bruises all the time. If they really wanted to tank, it's very likely they could sit a lot more guys.

Plus as many have pointed out, they're playing the hell out of Brodie + Giordano, which is an obvious anti-tank move. (heh). If you ask me, they were playing them to the point of stupidity. Increased minutes means increased risk of injury, and pretty much everyone else on our defense could learn a lot more from those increased minutes.

I am sure there is less motivation to have guys play hurt right now since nothing is on the line. Tanking implies something more nefarious and I don't see it that way.
