Jokipakka is what I imagine a young healthy Smid was like.

Jokipakka may be the big, defensive defensemen who is still mobile and can move the puck that we've been missing since Regehr was given away by Feaster. He's got a great reach and has been more physical than I was expecting. I'm very excited about his addition. He brings some much needed size to our defensive group.

That trade looks better and better every game.

Yeah, Jokipakka is a great addition. Straight up for Russell and I would've been happy at this point. Getting Pollock and a 2nd(or 1st) on top of that? amazing.

I keep thinking the same thing. Kevin wearing Smid's original #3 probably helps too.

Great hustle by Agostino on that icing. He also made a very good defensive play down low in front of his net earlier in the game that led to a breakout. Good little plays that help the team win. The offense will come with time, but it's great to see him do the little things well.

The loss of Brodie and OEL seems to be noticeable for both teams so far. Both teams missing their best puck movers. Meh period.

Burke wants to put the Wideman business in the rear view mirror. Not ranting.

Once again Leah Hextall is great at her job. What a great interview she gives. Give her Stombo's job please.

I've only heard things about what Henderson is thinking through Francis. Does anyone have any other source other than Francis on anything to do with Henderson? I just don't trust that guy to be unbiased, and he's been all over Wideman during this process.

I wonder what gem Eric will come up with. He mentioned on the earlier interview with Rob Kerr he hadn't talked directly to Don Henderson but has an update from "someone". Mentions lawsuit again.

Eat-Bread update:

@ToriePeterson
Andrew Mangiapane with a 4-point night. He scored 1 goal & 3 assists vs. Sudbury tonight & was the game's 1st star. 98 points in 55 games.

Wow, Francis for once doesn't sound like a complete and utter vinegar water bag.

Roger says he is still struggling. I'd believe that.
