No, they're probably just scared of being accused of a hate crime if they beat him up. Right savemedrzaius??

I find it racist that you immediately thought someone calling him stupid might have been related to race. Why did your mind even go there?
I think he's stupid because he made an unintelligent decision. I'm not a racist, so his race didn't factor into my thoughts.
I was just wondering what made the poster I quoted think Nurse would be unable to write a complete sentence. Whenever I have heard him talk he seems intelligent for a hockey player.
I probably just read it in the wrong tone the first time. Sorry!
I think that the interview with Hendricks was pretty telling. He was trying his best to deflect what Nurse did and not be seen as throwing his team mate under the bus.
However it sure looked and sounded to me as though he did not approve what he did. Truth be known I think that Hendricks is embarressed by the act.

Reason: Oh yah Edmonton is No Good!
Who cares what he did in Penticton. It is completely besides the point and irrelevant. What he did a couple of days ago was obviously crossing the line and that is why he was suspended.
As for celebrating after a fight being some sort of mortal sin...
This is the kind of crap that keeps a lot of people from letting their kids watch hockey... What separates this from the bertuzzi incident? Maybe the fact that polak had a little more of a chance?
It's sad and nurse would be arrested for doing it anywhere outside the rink.
When you see the nhl hand out 3 games and guys like spector celebrate it, it actually puts me off hockey a bit.
I have no issues with fighting when their are two willing combatents but this is garbage and the suspension for this compared to wideman is a joke
People really don't have a problem with celebrating a fight (speaking of the Andersson fight here) until it fits into their preconceived narratives regarding a player and can be used as a talking point. A lot of fights, especially if they are not staged fights and come out of emotion, involve some sort of emotion. I will admit that I forgot the circumstances involving McGrattan's return to Calgary and just stored it in my brain as being a celebration post-fight and obviously that was incorrect.

Just some advice: people who see racism where none exists need only look in the mirror to find what they seek. You should probably spend some time thinking on your own attitude and mentality.

Holy cow, so Spector thinks Nurse is a tough guy because he can beat on a guy who he already caught with a sucker punch? I could go outside right now and go find some unsuspecting strangers to take down. Hell, I bet if I swung hard enough from a blind spot I could definitely take down guys that have 4 inches and 50 pounds on me. Look how tough I am.

I have made worse posts than that though.
I believe it.

Nurse is no different than this insufferable ######.
Nurse is going to get his ass handed to him fairly soon. Seemed like most guys were taking it pretty easy on him because he was just a rookie. Now, after his antics? They're gonna give him a pretty good beating. No more Lucic smiling and just ragdolling him to the ground.

What are you talking about? Get it through your head...Nurse vs Andersson was NOT a fight. It was a one sided beating of a guy that doesn't fight. And he raised his arms in triumph like he just slayed Mike Tyson. That is the problem. What is he bragging about?

Any intimidation factor Nurse gets (which I think is minimal anyway) will be eliminated as soon as he faces a real opponent who's ready for him. If it comes against San Jose it could be a prepared Polak (if Nurse is very lucky). It could be Burns or Dillon if he's not. Or it could be a legit fighter from another team who wants to teach the kid a lesson if he's really unlucky.
