Why not give oil companies a royalty holiday under the condition that the money is used for capital projects.
That would get Engineering companies like mine more work so we would not have to let people go every week.
That would get skid fabricators, and pipe fitters back to work as well.
Where have all the Keynesians gone to?

They're not negotiating at the NEB, they're doing environmental assessments in a board style setting.
You're argument, and excuse me for being rude is not the same, its stupid and an example of vapid headed deflection.
What the provincial government is doing is completely different its a union contract negotiation.
With the NEB we're basically talking about a bunch of guys talking to other guys and making a report and deciding if the pipeline complies with laid out standards.
You're argument has zero merit its not the same thing, the Kinder Morgan thing is not even close to a conflict of interest compared to what the Alberta Government is doing.

Apparently there is a "democratic outreach office" running Calgary-Greenway. No one can seem to explain why it is needed either, and according to the Alberta government website, this "outreach office" has a Edmonton area code. It's staffed with taxpayer funded staff to "assist the NDP", as said by the Deputy Premier.

So having a pro oil person coming in to do environmental assessments is not a conflict of interest. Got it.
To my understanding the AUPE signed a 4 year contract in 2014, set to expire 2018. Good to start negotiations early but didn't Hancock and his cronies sign off on this?
I have also heard how drastically over paid teachers are in this province, but after educating myself on the pay scale i
It may actually seem they have been underpaid for a number of years. 25% is the estimated wage increase in Alberta over other provinces in the private sector. Are the teachers making 25% more than other provinces teachers?
You can use the argument that the private sector is taking a beating so the public sector needs to as well. So let me see if I got this. We should roll back teachers wages, lay off quite a few while we are at it and then when oil climbs we should try to rehire a bunch at the lower wage.
It's awesome reading this junk, you choose an industry that lays you off every 5 years or so and when times get bad then you expect everyone should share your pain. I make about 13 bucks an hour more than the same position in BC, we should be looking at rolling my wages back too..........hahaha

Oh ok got it, everything became clear now.
you are completely clueless about the vast differences between the two situations. You are completely clueless about what the differences are in terms of something like an environmental assessment and a public union negotiation.
Having a oil company person taking part in an environmental assessment is vastly different then a former senior negotiator for a public sector employee taking part in a negotiation in a senior role.
If you had the former president of TCPL leaving TCPLon Tuesday and becoming the guy in charge of the EE assessment at the NEB on Wednesday you would have a equivalent situation and a clear conflict of interest.
The rest of your post is ridiculous. and your last paragraph is face punchingly awful.
And by the way, I'm not in the Oil and Gas Industry. I'm in the software industry

How should public sector salaries relate to private sector salaries?
A) Go sharply up when private salaries spike, and go down when private salaries (and government revenues) drop.
B) Maintain a steady structure unrelated to private sector salaries in this province.
C) Go sharply up when private salaries spike, and then stay high when private salaries (and government revenues) drop.

Not for me to decide. Unions and the government sign contracts, if you think paying the public sector a decent wage is unfair then maybe lobby to only sign 1 year contracts, see how that works. Won't be drawing too many teachers here if they can't afford to live here.
As for Software boy.....so smart. Now go get your NDP hate on

Are you past your chastity period yet?
I'm not going to get into this, I've made the same arguments a number of times, shown the same information and just because this guy decides to show up not having done any of his homework (those underpaid teachers will be disappointed) doesnt mean that I'm going to step in and keep giving out free education.

Isn't that the same dummy from the AUPE who was mad the royalty review didn't hammer the industry with more royalties? His greasiness seems awfully familiar.

Nope, still on hiatus.
Reasoned, basic math didn't work.
So I've had to resort to my other talent: pure sarcasm!

Sorry man, the constant grind is getting tiring.
Theres too much idealism running rampant while ignoring realism. Where is all of this deficit spending going to come from? Who is paying this nice, juicy bill when it gets served up? No one knows and moreover no one seems to care.
Is there any Province in this country thats afloat? That has even a balanced budget?
