Wow! Leading NHL scorer for defencemen when he retired, and most points for a defenceman ever before Bobby Orr. 1,248 games, 20 seasons, a shot blocker, over 1500 penalty minutes, and was a winning coach for the Red Wings over two seasons.

So yes, Hall of Famer in 1970.

What a great hockey career.
