Another freaking first NHL goal. I sure wish we could stop doing this.

How do you not throw it over to your best player who is currently sitting on 2 goals on the night. Stupid play by Ferly.

It's a false correlation thing I'm thinking. We seem to notice those crappy things when the team isn't doing well in the standings. Doubt LA, Anaheim or Washington care about how many milestones our rookies break.

Ferland belongs on the 4th line and no where else.

No, probably not that. The Flames have been good before and people still notice it.

Every fan base thinks their team is unlucky this way but that's because over the course of a long NHL season there are tonnes of first year players looking for their various first milestones. It happens to all teams, but fan bases are only noting it against their own.

Except for goalies without a shutout, we are cursed in that regard and some sort of ritualistic sacrifice must be made for it to stop.

Every bad team thinks they're the only ones this happens to.

Other things that fans of all bad teams think:

-Neutral play by play guys don't give their team enough credit
-Refs have it out for them (this is probably every fanbase)
-Their assistant coaches suck at running special teams
-Things will be better next year because all their young guys will be better

If he's on the first line he needs to produce and play well with Monahan and Gaudreau.

He's been very inconsistent this year with his effort level.

Every bad or good team thinks that. Has nothing to do with being bad.

We talking bout Colborne?

If Ferland isnt producing at a much higher clip than Colborne, by the time he has as many games under his belt, I will be surprised.

Colborne has such a low hockey IQ...

Agree with CalgaryBlood on points 1-3; but point 4 belongs EXCLUSIVELY to only ONE bad team...
