It seems the story doesn't hold water but I wonder how a person could make up such crap. Thinking more about it yeah people make up stories all the time for whatever motive.

From the Twitter it looks like it may be a juvenile attempt at making a statement on how quickly people are to take down the "victim."

Well yeah...you just made it up. You cant just make that stuff up, there are consequences for that type of thing.

- Wait for charges be pressed before acting?
- Suspend immediately upon suggestion of an incident?
- evaluate every incident individually?

It's a minefield no matter how you deal with it. I think the NHL has to look at incidents on a case by case basis. Everyone does this in the criminal justice system to some extent. Sure you have a presumption of innocence but there are cases in which you're never going to get bail based on the evidence.
