Welcome to the Herm Edwards era.... Nothing made me angrier than when Edwards named Paul "I still live off Joe Montana" Hackett in as the Jets off. coordinator...

With Damon Huard at quarterback and an average offensive line at best the Chiefs are forced to keep their only good receiver Tony Gonazalez back to block. Eddie Kennison and Sammy Parker may be the weakest receiving duo in football. Larry Johnson is a stellar running back, but once the Chiefs get to the 20, the yardage becomes damn hard to get. Yes the defence is improved but it's hard to win in the NFL when your team scores 8 points per week and turns the ball over at least twice a game. Thats what the Chiefs defence is facing this year. Not to mention the 4th toughest schedule in Football. Outside of their 3 games against so so NFC West opponents I don't see them beating anyone.

That being said. The Chiefs had a better chance of winning in Denver last Sunday than I can remember. Yeah the Chiefs are averaging only 8 points a game so far. But they aren't allowing 30 points a game either. So far the have lost to arguably one of the best teams in the AFC by 10, and that was after a devastating head shot to the face of the franchise. Then they control the game in Denver only to lose in overtime by a field goal. I'll admit, I don't see this team winning the Super Bowl or even making the playoffs. But I woudn't compare it to the Raiders just yet.

We'll trade you Patrick Ramsey for Priest Holmes that way we can have two possible hall of famers on our IR...

Well the Chiefs certainly aren't Raider bad....at least I hope not. I guess they have a chance to win 5 games this year. My comments carry a lot of venom because I'm sick of the Chiefs being a middle tier mediocre franchise that always misses out on the really good draft picks but never makes the playoffs. Doesn't help that the Bronco's who are one of the NFL's top 4 run franchises is in their division and always are better than the Chiefs either.
Patrick Ramsey eh, what the hell he's probably better than Huard. At least Paul Hacket and Herm Edwards won't ask him to hang in the pocket and try to throw the ball downfield every down like Steve Spurrier did so he might last 5 games. Thank god the Chiefs did grab Larry Johnson or they'd really be hooped. Still I really liked Priest Holmes and hope he can make it back into football one day. Nothing worse than seeing players of that calibre forced out of the game by injury. When it was time to punch the ball in the end zone, Holmes had that extra something to get in there, and was great at not putting the ball on the ground.

Johnson has alot more speed than Holmes did. Priest was great at getting through the line of scrimmage, getting over the goal line or getting that first down. But when he broke lose he would allways get caught from behind. When LJ breaks lose, nobody is catching him. But with the weak talkles, breaking lose won't be happening as much. Especially since there is no threat of a passing game.

Can someone explain what the official definitons for questionable, doubtful, and probable are?
I think it means something like:
questionable: 25% chance of playing
doubtful: 50% chance of playing
probable: 75% chance of playing

Kurt Warner is quite the bonehead, what an ugly end to the game. Dennis Green should be a part of the unemployment community pretty soon.
Chris Simms sucks. In my mind, without a doubt the worst starting QB in the NFL.
Joseph Addai will be starting in 2-3 weeks. He's just wayy better then Rhodes, as soon as he catches on to all the blocking and reads in an offense different from any other one in NFL history, he'll be putting up some pretty nice numbers.
The Jaguars are sure easy to hate as a Colts fan. Every week they play Indy they start with the trash talk, and usually end up taking 4 or 5 after the whistle penaltys. And everytime the Colts end up beating them..I laugh at some of the announcers saying how it was a moral victory for the Jaguars. They played a hell of a game in many ways, but when you keep getting beat again and again by the same divisional team, moral victorys are done with. If the Colts lost by just a few in NE, you wouldn't hear anybody saying what a moral victory it was for manning.

Simms apparently ruptured his spleen and had emergency surgery after the game to have it removed - probably done for the year

Glad to see the Seahawks lay the boots to the whining "its too loud, it must be fake" overrated Giants.
Should be a dandy Sunday nighter next week, with my Seahawks off to Chicago.

Well Seattle was full credit for building up a 42-3 lead in that game, but they pretty much did as much as they could to blow that game. Despite coaching in the league for like 15 years and having won a Super Bowl Holmgren still can't figure out how to run the clock. When you're up on another team by 21+ points in the second half you run the ball three times and punt it away taking the three minutes off the clock every possession. Once in awhile you do a play fake and a short high percentage pass to mix it up. But your sole objective is to control the clock. Dropping back and throwing interceptions creates momentum swings and can kill your defence. Hopefully for Seahawks fans Holmgren finally figured out how important the clock is in the NFL. Than again like I say 15 years and he's still making pop warner coaching descisions in terms of the clock. Seattle should have walked away with that game being 42-17 at worst if they didn't make dum dum descisions.

Outside of resting Alexander they weren't.

Also looks like it could be more than the absence of Steve Hutchenson holding back Alexanders production. At least this makes the Hawks/Bears game a little easier to pick.

O don't get me wrong, Indy has defintley deserved the reputation for not winning in the playoffs (even though whoever beats them wins the SB, (see the last 3 years) Fact is they have yet to win that big game. However Jax is just annoying as hell, they never shut up
